never thought about that, good idea, think i will do that,,only used it once so far,,them plants seemed to love it imediatly, gonna water again tonight with it
you should top dress barley casts tho to really help get your soil right. its a good way to introduce valuable proteins i aint knocking that @Organikz, the LAB relates in a similar way via stimulation and up regulation of ISR, JAR and SAR

I like BOX. It's the closest you can come to a fungus gnat fighting adventure. Brewing sludge teas. Have you ever grabbed a handful of dregs from a compost neem kelp tea....yuck... I finally dropped them with 2 neem/karanja/ewc/kelp/mosquito dunk teas over a 1" layer of MBP and a dreg top dress. Now I have Santa's beard sticking.out of the mulch lol.

I read his descriptions and almost bought that nature's breath or whatever. I must say I'm impressed by it.
I use a combination of homegrown nematodes, and a range of entomopathogenic microbes. if you dont over do BOX, it is unlikely you will get fungus gnats unless you brought them with you from the soil at the store

Yes not general non organics. That's a box of bs. They use sulfuric acid to process the products. Even Neptune does for their fish fert.
I honestly have no idea why anyone would need to do this? just dont over sell the bottle sizes, stop adding bulking agents and use fermentation techniques that are known to prolong the shelf life and long term stability. it just laziness otherwise :-)

@Organikz Neptune's uses phosphoric acid not sulfuric..
It's their base stabilizer for all their liquid fish ferts.
Hyrdolyzed Fish
Phosphoric acid
Nitrogen - 2%
Available Phosphate - 4%
Soluble Potash - 1%
Thanks for the clarification buddy. On a side....
Most people probably have calcium uptake issues later in life via GI accumulations of PAcid in the lower colon via petrifying meat and so go on to have Skin, hair, Teeth, Muscular and Skeletal related health concerns

"In a wet process facility (see figure 1), phosphoric acid is produced by reacting sulfuric acid (H2SO4) with naturally occurring phosphate rock. The reaction also forms calcium sulfate (CaSO4), commonly referred to as gypsum. The insoluble gypsum is separated from the reaction solution by filtration."

Now let's say all that sulfuric acid didn't deconstruct during the reaction....

may be it should be Venus Nutrients and not Neptune. I am not aware of an abundance of Sulfuric acid on Neptune.
I suspect they have nothing on that produced by this years forest fires :-) We have had one or two volcanoes as well recently. i suspect worrying too much about the role of Sulfuric in the Phosphorous cycle wont do anyone any good long term. i do agree, we might limit our use however in light of the natural options. I am old enough to remember acid lakes and people in dinghy's liming the shit out of the place

it shows in your work bro, nothing but love and life
thanks. i am lucky to have friends who gift me seeds that appear to like my place :-) And of course I am super lucky to have the opportunity to try all my ideas in the real world.

I am still getting my arse whipped by somethings, and this i love too; its like a hunt for me. i dont chase animals, but i understand the energy this activity generates and I think its similar to me when i get a new problem I have never seen before, on a new plant i dont yet understand, or when I see a link between soil, plant and human life that hits me in the face.

I urge everyone to get in to soil in a big way, we are going to need armies of people tomorrow to repair whats been done to our intellect and our land. This here thread is part of a much needed global movement of people really trying to understand what the fuck is going on, and to see if there is more they can do to help. I adore this and everyone I meet here that has passion for what they do
