But if he clones it the way it is, then the cut is weaker genetically though, right?
Naw, I wouldnt think so, unless it really is just a genetic defect..
I dont think it is.
I think he might have picked up some pythuim early, and then ithink he needed some calimag, from the jump...
I sometimes will give newbies a basic list, but then you get a situation like this, and you kinda need the supps so you can play with the mix..

If that was my plant, I would clone it and put the cutting in fox farm Ocean Forrest soil :(

The homie chumped out and went wuth 10 gal pots, promix, again. Was hoping to get him down to 5. At least we chopped some growth off of them this time. He grew into the lights last round. Got his plant count down a lil too for the space. Hes at least been using the fan leaf tek and they look way better than last round. Should have snapped some pics but we had our hands full. His growroom iq is real low but hes a good learner, just unsure of himself. The guy that taught him slaps commercial together hot and quick and im guessing he was taught by a soil grower. Hes in 20 gal promix...idk why lol. Doesnt flush for shit and pulls early too. As my boy sees my flower hes been way more open to what im doing though. Got him feeding more and he grabbed a jug of cns17 in case he runs out of his full line botanicare nutes. Were doing a weekly tea now too but with great white.

I thought taking clones of unhealthy plants resulted in genetic drift

taking a clone from a sick plant will give you a sick clone

but the only thing proven to cause "Genetic Drift" is genetic bottlenecking
that is where a plant becomes so inbred that the genetics actually turn on or off certain markers to sustain life
massive inbreeding leeds to sterility

Well by then, i be on to some new method..
fogponics
Nice, I've done fogponics! Grew some plants and made a cloner. I kept the cloner. Just a bucket with a fogger and a float.
I have a hole on the side that a fan is on, on a time, I think it was 1 on 5 off min.
The metal ducting in pic is just laying there not part of system. I have a dome its a cake cover. Two holes drilled on top for airflow.
After tinkering around I found that this configuration works best for me.
The clone I posted before but it's from this.
Got fogger from that mist place online.
The big fogger in the plants I grew got hot!

basically you make a res....and sit your plant on top with your roots in the res
no bubbles....no moving parts
you refill as needed
you could throw a plant into flower directly from rooted clone....no veg time
use something like a folgers conatiner or one of those kitty litter containers
or better yet
go to your local doughnut shop and ask if they have any buckets that you can have....a small one that something like raspberry filling came in
use that with lid ....get yourself a 3" net cup
put the net cup through the lid
Kratky Method
Word, heissen was talking about this style...I Think
Sounds kinda like aquaponics.
You use foam to float on water with holes cut out for plant.
I imagine you know this.

well nirvana cant even play anymore! They are down a band member..

Ok this is the only way to state this...
dogs breeders usually like to wait till a female goes in heat a second time before breeding because the offspring is usally cared for and the mother has matured enough to provide for the pups.. Same with a root/stem maturity so it can push the needed requirements to produce big buds...
I'm puffing animal cookies and so yeah you never know what to except here!
Before I read the bottom I was like how'd we land on breeding dogs! And my dog stole my spot. Life is good

But awesome on everyones advice about feeding in coco to wood right off the bat..
Haha rad! Hey what can I say? It's a good place to be! Trying different styles rather you're into them or not you're still growing herb and the different aspects you might incorporate into your main style!
Lemme know when you're ready to build some soil
You know cause
My no till brings all the buckets to the yard and their like it's better than ours, and I'm like damn straight it's better than yours
I can teach you but I'll have to charge

So question... probably for Wisher. What should I be looking at for PAR for seedlings to prevent them turning into tooth picks? I have two CFL's on them right now. I read somewhere 120-150 but they seem to still be stretching quite a bit at that

I wouldnt be able to tell you what par you need
but keep the CFL's 4-6" away from the top of the seedlings

as for feed
7ml grow
Silica Blast to ph 5.8
