Oh yes baby those are going to turn out nice, I like the size as they are now and not turned yet. very nice. Be fun to watch them grow.
Hey thanks just fed them now they're really packing it on!

Figured out what was perplexing me with the promix; problem was I changed three things at once lol, the five gallon grow bags, added mykos and used Pro mix

Mycos aside, I was fixating on the damn grow bags, and not really considering the Pro mix

Then I got over the grow bags and realize they're basically nothing new and then began to noticed the nature of the promix and the runoff numbers

All of them were 6.4 on the button! And all the PPM were +/- 100ppm of ideal! 👌 good stuff!

Please elaborate! What did you understand about Pro Mix? Is it the picture of all of the trichomes on the leaf that make you believe in Pro Mix?
It was the runoff, it told me everything about the medium; once I finally checked it for a second time and compared it to the first time it told me how to work the medium

I'm not an expert on promix but it's all I've ever grown in over 20 years. It doesn't have to be name brand labeled, I find all the peat based mediums the same. Not the Miracle grow or supper charged fancy name brand stuff. Just the growers mixed peat, perlite, vermiculite ect.

The only nutes I want the plant to get are the ones I give it. I've been finding with cuttings and starter plants 1/4 /1/4/1/4 ml /gal helps them get out of the starting gate. Without they seem light colored and frail so there's nothing in these basic peat mediums to start them other than ph buffers. My 7.1 water comes through the soil @ 6.5.

I think too much is made out of the growing medium. I've never tried any other medium so I'm naive on the benefits of more expensive name brand types such as Fox Farms but my last 4 grows ( about 20 plants) will have been finished with one $30 bale of noname brand peat. I just put my last 8 plants in 3 gallon pots and there's just a bit of it left for some clones. With Fox farms I'd be into the hundreds of dollars. Would a change in medium help me grow bigger badder better plants?

I love it $14 at Home Depot for the biggest freaking Bale! 😎👍

The problem I had was paying attention to the grow bags which was kind of annoying and serves me right for changing more than one thing at the same time I guess, but as soon as I got 2 run-offs to compare I figured it out, promix is very user-friendly! ✌😁

I miss promix, I dont have room for bales anymore tho so I'm stuck buying small bags of plain soil & starter peat mix & blending them to ratio I like feel of. Got a place looking into smaller quantities for me but...

I used it as a mix for a while with equal parts of chunky perlite and ffof and it was fine, but I like it by itself too, & I noticed the roots really took off in it!

Promix was good 10 years ago, great consistency for drainage & nutes, probably even better today (sigh). I've always preferred to add my own nutes instead of miracle grow soils etc

Just got my next grows seeds in. Kinda excited.
Jumping black dash (Dr Krippling)
8 ball kush (Barney’s)
Black Valium (elite seeds)
Blue treacle autos (Dr krippling)
Ayasca purple (Barney’s)
Dos e’Dos 33 ( Barney’s)
I love 8 Ball Kush it's the best thing I've grown in the four years I've been back to growing! (Or maybe tied with Cali connections LA OG)

Tastes like hashish and black pepper, unfortunately it has a slight cough to it or at least it has that effect on me so I've stopped growing it but I still have some of it in my own stash

Think its doctor krippling that has an auto named cash-crop, that's about the best tasting plant I've grown, but I'm partial to pot that tastes like hashish, I don't grow it because I don't grow Autos but I really liked those freebies!

Kinda missed the boat on the discussion but I think any peat you get is suspect for fungus gnats. Fairly sure the eggs can stay alive for quite some time even when dry. Put water on them and they can explode within a week.
IMO- soak your peat and then let it dry completely over the next week and stir the top few inches. This will kill many of the larvae.

Nice buds, that's going to be a big joint, Do you use sheet paper? That would be a days smoke for me, I guess I could relight the joint. 😍

We used to use tampon paper to roll fatties they were just like rolling paper and if you cut it right you could get the tampon logo right down the center. I took pride in rolling tampon joints, really made a hit at parties.🥳🥳

thanks but it's been around for a while and it's kind of dry, I do have some vacuum sealed in my head stash though; I use a grinder and a machine, each joint weighs 1 gram

I have a trick I like to do once in a while that I learned from the rastas in Cambridge back in the 70s, they showed me how to roll spliffs with corn husks, you take the smallest inside husks, square them up a little on the ends and boil them until most of the green color comes out & dry them; I bring one to gatherings down the beach once in awhile, they can hold large amounts of bud! ✌😎

For all you Sativa growers. What’s going on with this one? My Girl Scout is out performing silver haze. Shocker. Top is silver haze Sativa and second is Girl Scout Indica. Third photo is Wild Maine Lupine for our side next month.
If I remember correctly, last time I grew mostly Sativa plants the grew far faster than Indica dies. I’m have the opposite results. The Sativa is stout but slow growing. No matter what I do. There 4 weeks in. Figured I would have a good foot on the Sativa by now. Always thinking it’s something I’m doing. Went down check list everything is in range. Pre water 6.5 ph. Run off is at 5.7ph. .3 isn’t anything to worry about. 2 grams of nutrients rather than the 5 it tells to use. Plenty of light 2000watts which I have dimmed down to about 1000watts at 32”s above. Maybe bad seed genetics.

5.7 is a little low, what medium again?
