Can I use two mars hydro ts600 with a 2x2 coverage area in a 4x4 and have adequate lighting situations or should I go with the ts1000.

looking to light up 4x4 tent entirely.
Hey man I'll try to help me best. Lots of people say to go with 30w/sqft. That's actual draw from wall. Are youu looking to light up the 4x4 totally or a 2x2 section?
2x2 section: 120W
4x4 section needs: 480W

TS-600 Power draw:100W±5%@AC120V
TS-1000 draw:150W

Hope that helps!

●【High Efficiency White LED Light】Newest SMD LED technology provide highest PAR/LUMEN output(709umol@18"), designed to replace a single-ended 1000watt HPS; MARS HYDRO TS 1000W Plants Growing lamp makes you get 30% higher yield compare OLD blurple led lights, average 1.5g yield per wattage (power draw)

This is false advertising. You need 4 or 5 of these lights to replace a 1000w HPS. A 600w HPS is perfect for 4x4.

I'd be willing to try HPS but I think i'd have a lot of heat problems.
If the exhaust blows the heat outdoors it shouldn't be a problem. Of course, depending on your climate, growing in the summer can get expensive. I shut down in May and start again in September.

For LED's the true power of the unit is the most important thing. Then things like reliability, spectrum and so on. It's always best to invest now rather than do what most growers do and buy two to three crap lights off Amazon before biting the bullet and actually getting a decent light. There are in between options between the garbage I mentioned before and companies like HLG. This dude just went through all trouble of selecting a new light...you could learn a lot from this thread.

Would Love to run hps but went with led for the obvious reasons like heat an light bill. I have another 4x4 setup that I’m gonna run hps in to experiment. I already have the mars hydro so I’m gonna run those so money isn’t just sitting!

A single 600w HPS costs $160 and will produce over a pound.

Do you have 2 TS 600 right now?
Yes in the box I been vegging under blurple lights for about 3weeks now. But I wanna hook my ts600s up I wanted to use them for flower on my 3 girls. Just wondering if it will do the job. I’m getting more technical on my next round!

will the mixed spectrums cause any mutation lol? That is another concern
I think you'll be fine with the two ts600 but also keep the blurple in there as well it wont hurt. You could probably get a 240W QB next and be decent for coverage for the whole tent.

Mars hydro has a QB series as well as viparspecta I like those 2 brands definitely gonna check out the Qb talked to several ppl they swear by them. Also looked into photo booth DIY strips probably try that after a few successful runs when things are dialed in

They look great. Imho you need to get that closet vented. Even LED lights will put out too much heat. Also the excess humidity promotes mold and bugs.
I agree that closet isn’t a good grow spot. Find somewhere you can set up a tent, you’ll be much happier, and safer.

phantom 315 CMH with remote ballast to reduce heat even more. Has huge hood and great warranty should anything happen years from now. In the second pic, its the light on the right, and its in a 4x8 for size reference. Just get rmthe 3100k Philip's bulb.
