So much is about simple timing, or technique used in maintenance of early sprouts, and controlling that leading edge of bud development, stress training and keeping it under control, so the lowers can popup and gain equal footing.... making new strong heads....
I used to be good at this shit in science lab using worms of some type long time ago; same basic technique. Something we did once in Jr. High... (I could make more heads than the average idiot)

made Into multiheaded beast, instead of trees... sometimes I suppose I go a bit overboard; if that's possible.

Then it becomes a bit of a jumblefuck
This way when it starts sprouting upward, lots of long cola's hopefully.... I really do enjoy (various) plant training techniques, and no two grows are the same... but I rarely take
any early leaf's, just bending, and possibly a few strategic ones once the plant is well established... Certainly
no need ever to remove any newer growth... That is wasted potential IMO. Every one should live up to their potential, including their plants.
