@Mikedin sorry for the delay getting on here with my veg grow!!!! Got really busy at work and spending time with the kids while they were home from college. Put the grow room back together after drying this last harvest finally. Issue with growing a bunch of smoke is the grow rooms gets small quickly when drying and trimming. However long story short I am here for the next 4-8 weeks while I veg these girls out.

I have topped them several times up to this point and defoliated lightly along the way. Been feeding them nothing but water since day one. Growing them in Fox Farm Ocean Forrest, decided on 7 gallon pots. Three of the four are 28 days old from seed the other one is 24 days old. Had to pop another bean as one would not sprout at all. Left it in a wet paper towel in perfect conditions for 2 weeks and it never even cracked, lol. So had to put another bean to float a couple days after so that is why it is behind by a few days. Hint for some newer growers (don’t wait to long to throw another bean in water if one isn’t doing what all the others do). Most I personally wait is 2 days tops. They take off quickly and you will be a bit behind if you wait much longer than that. Especially if you are Scrog’ing or SOG’ing them. I know a few people usually put in an extra seed or two in to start when growing from seed just in case one don’t pop but I don’t like wasting a seed if they all pop. More times than not for me they all pop.

So I went with some seeds my brother just bought and am excited to grow both of these strains.

2 - Blood Diamond
2 - Bruce the Russian

I am absolutely in no hurry to flip the light schedule on these girls. I will SCROG them and fill the tent up before even thinking about the flower stage. More is worth the wait if you ask me! So here are a few pics of my grow room and you will notice an empty tent! It is also a 4x4 so I will probably grow 4-6 plants in there. Any ideas what I should grow?

There are a few things that are a must though.

1st) is the strains must be higher than 23% THC. Only like growing the higher stuff.

2nd) I can grow either 4-6 plants but like growing 2-3 different strains at a time. So 2 of each strain is ideal for me. The catch is that they have to be of similar size strains as well. Can’t grow a plant that is typically smaller with a strain that is typically large. Can grow similar size though as I can always put a rises under them to give ‘em a boost. As you can see in my current vegging tent pics below both plant strains are different heights. One is a large and one is a medium large plant so they will be perfect together.

I hear ya haha haven’t had a night off in a week few more to go haha. Super clean setup! Looking at that, as much as I love my 4x8 + 4x4 setup having 2 4x4’s or 2x 5x5’s or even 3x of each to fit the same space seems like it would be much more efficient 🤔……. Why run tent to tent perpetual (veg tent >flower tent) when you just flip a tent every 5-6 weeks and never risk the other crops to potential bugs or disease, Seeing I have 3x lights… or 4 maybe a switch up is coming lol

Morning!, well, afternoon now 😁 checkin out the girls. This Cman x Okie and GP x Okie are really taking off now, can see that the GP has a some slightly clawing tips but I did bump up the 4-4-4 1tbs/gal this run, the Cman x Okie is taking it like a champ, either way both are growing vigorously so it defenitly isint slowing them down nice lush green foliage and new growth is coming in nice and healthy so NO complaints here 😁

gave her the last feed (i think). tomorrow unless i unthink 🧐ill flush her with flashkleen and the day after that ill flip her and change to a preflower cocktail. possibly could push that schedule out a little. shes only taking ground slowly but the main issue at this point is making sure theres enough sufficiently developed branches in the middle which if you could see from underneath is actually where most of the younger branches are. Also happens to be the first day of spring tomorrow. 😁

At least week 6 of veg.
Keeping her small to maximize time as I at least have 7 more before she can come out with another 2 before flip in flower room. 24 tops or so, stopped counting, no more topping. Winter single grow. Lil Chicken Wing is about to be Big Momma.
