oh, thats actually normal here in the TN mountains. 55-60f nights and near 100 during the day. What is strange, is that it's august, and only hitting low 80s during the day here rn. My plants are loving it though. Dont think ive ever seen outdoor plants stacking in person quite like i got this year, remains to be seen how that home stretch is gonna go though. All but 2 of hte plants are looking damn near like indoor flower tbh.We had some really weird weather here in Missouri also not a normal summer . It’s been cold in the morning low 50 then goes near 100 during the day I can’t imagine what that does to a plant![]()
The polar votex completely collapsed at the end of last winter. They saw nearly a foot of snow as far south as georgia and Alabama from it. Temps well below zero before the wind chill too. Was the first time we've seen it collapse to that degree before the winter season was out. It's also an El Nino year immediately following a La Nina year, which i dont think has happened before in modern times either iirc. My mom had 14 inches of snow on the ground, temps at like -8f, while it was long sleeve tshirt weather 8 hours further north. And what's wild about that, is all of her Annuals made it through this winter, and grew back too, but it killed most of her perrenials
Im expecting wild weather going into winter this year, especially here in the mountains, and an even wilder start to next spring most likely.
But I also got this feeling september is gonna hit with a vengeance as far as heat and storms go.
