You are right on target with your entire post
My thought process is to make a CBD chocolate mix, then a CBG chocolate mix etc.
Then weigh and mix the chocolate bases together
Still having issues getting an even distribution of the meds through the chocolate
That's more technique than anything
Also purchased a commercial CBD oil as my medical dispensary no longer dispenses medical cultivars like the CBD, CBG and THC-V cultivars or the one to one THC/CBD ratio thunder struck

Where did you get the CBD? I have seeds for Maverick but haven't started them and really want to get a 1:1 edible going soon.

Federal-Level Changes
A significant provision was included in the federal government funding bill passed in November 2025 that effectively bans most intoxicating hemp products nationwide.
  • Federal Ban: The new federal law drastically lowers the allowable THC threshold to a nearly undetectable 0.4 milligrams per container, which is far below the concentration in most currently legal products.
  • Implementation Timeline: This federal ban is set to take effect one year after the legislation went into effect (around November 2026), giving the industry a phase-out period.

Several significant changes in that "funding" bill with all these BS riders.

Picked up some full spectrum cannabis oil, $10 (US) a gram packaged in a dablicator (my hands are a mess from work and sports and these things are a nightmare, I pull the center piece off and just plunge the whole gram)
Then grabbed the CBD oil on line forgot what I paid

Mixed the two in a double boiler type method with some liquid lecithin to create a decent emulsion
Minimum 30 minutes, some go as long as six hours but that may lead to cbn conversion and sleepy meds from my very little understanding of that particular process (cbn conversion)

I use a circular wire trivet to keep the beaker suspended and helps prevent scorching

Finally got around to extraction and added the above concoction to the thunderstruck tincture I regularly make and there are results
The chocolates have a heavier sleep effect
First batch was about a tablespoon of the cbd/cbg mixture added to the thunderstruck tincture
Kind of flying by the seat of my pants and would like some guidance if anyone has any

With both THC & CBD I stick with 1 gm decarbed flower to 1 oz oil. Coconut oil, butter, olive oil, etc. When I make tincture I stay with the same 1 gm flower to 1 oz 90% alcohol but I take the tincture 1-2 dropper fulls at a time.

I also make a 3-1 THC - CBD sauve with the oil extract that is amazing. It works on just about any skin ailment, even itchy bug bites😉

My hope was to make sure the edibles were not overwhelming
Reports from my end were deep sleep without the hangover from the consumer

You can mix the flower in with other cultivars for great vaping experience

Personally I'd try/test them individually and then together. With the CBD I haven't felt anything. I make CBD caps for my wife and she hasn't "felt" anything. She doesn't like THC at all. Makes her melt into things like the couch or bed or even walls😉

I was kinda expecting the "entourage effect" from adding the CBD but nada.

I have yet to try some of the other strains with the various cannabinoids but hope to in the future.

Same problem here
The meds are for a family member who is straight edge as it gets, well WAS straight edge
Does not like the rush from thc as intoxication kicks in to high gear

My thought process with 1:1 ratio is that enough of the cbd hits the receptors to mute the thc
But I'm an idiot so I would not put much stock in that theory
Everybody responds so differently, the effects are general but so individualistic in overall experience
Euphoria to paranoia

The individual I mentioned takes a roughly 1:1 ratio thc/cbd chocolate
30-60 minutes for onset, coconut oil is the carrier mixed with dark chocolate to cut the richness
Experiences onset intoxication which is a sign to get in bed
Here is the kicker, the thc is better for sleep than the cbd
It relieved pain as well as providing sedation
The cbd chocolates did nothing for this person, straight thc chocolate was too much and subsequent lowering of dosage led to it going so low it was ineffective
Then I did the thunder struck extractions and the 1:1 ratio flower provided a nice even experience
There is intoxication but it appears more under control and more on the sedative side
Think there may be some actual synergy there
Stuff is nice to vape and go out, relatively clear low level high with a nice chill

You can replicate with rso and cbd oil
I go full spectrum

Syrup and chocolate day

Anybody doing anything interesting?
May pull the trigger on a sonicator to give nano emulsion a try

Was hoping to high light CBG, CBD and the 1:1 THC/CBD flower but they are not consistently available
Still have some CBG and CBD infused oil
Have to research how to use it appropriately
My thoughts are capsules rather than cookies
