Quick question from first time grower. I’ve been growing an auto in a 3gal SmartPot with Happy Frog soil for 5 weeks. Is 5 weeks long enough for the plant to have used all the nutrients in the soil so I can start adding nutes? Looking to use Medi One at a low dose of 2.5mL per Gallon.

I’m actually going to experiment next grow with using just the LEDs. I do get a lot of side growth from those lights though

I have 2x600w LEDs above but it makes the plants purple if those are on.

So an update. I transferred the plant to a 5gal SmartPot with a 50/50 mix of FF OF and HF. When i transferred the roots were really moist so I didn’t water for 7 days and the plant seems happy again.

Can I ask a quick question? First time grower and I have a 5 week old auto that has been growing in a 3 gal SmartPot with Happy Frog soil. I just started adding the Medi One this week at 1.5mL per Gallon. Seems to be doing well at that dose as I didn’t want to get Nute Burn. Do you think 5 weeks...

Thanks! Will do. It’s my first grow since Vermont legalized it late last year. I’m definitely learning a lot of lessons with this first grow but I have a passion for this.

Thank you all for your input. Truly appreciate it. I’ll switch to a 3-5 day watering schedule. Since I just reported the Photo plant to a 5gal I won’t water again for 7 days. The autos are getting a 1/2 cup around the outskirts of the base.
