    Diaries of an Urban Druid

Pruning and doing a last round of tie downs before flipping later this week before they get too big for my tent. Increased phosphorus in the nutrients and my stems have started going from reddish purple to green so I guess I’ve been having a phosphorus deficiency since seedling stage...

New growth detected. Still looking harsh though.

    Diaries of an Urban Druid

It’s been a wild ride. I forgot to water the plants for a couple days and almost lost them. I’ve broken the 0-6-5 nutrients out and mixed up a batch of water with: 5 ml 0-6-5 5 ml 6-0-0 5 ml cal/mag At a pH of 6.1. Fed them tonight and hopefully can bring this destruction to a halt. Some...

The more I'm looking at phosphorus deficiency the more this is looking like it actually. This goes back to my initial suspicion that there's a lockup in the coco coir - probably salt buildup since i skipped a day of watering and things havent been quite the same since. Guess I'll flush them...

Even though it really looks a lot like calcium deficiency I’m suspicious about it since I’ve been giving calmag with every feeding. I suppose I should double up on the calcium dosage. The other plants seem fine. Mysterious.

Leaves on this one are getting worse and I’m not sure what the actual cause is. Salt buildup in the coco?

    Diaries of an Urban Druid

Some minor spotting on the bottom leaves of one of the plants; probably a pH issue since I made a large change for the last watering. They need a 5th round of tie downs already and I’m about to water them before they snooze.

All the plants are looking a little droopy; I either overwatered last night or gave them a rad too much nitrogen. They’re looking good other than that though! I talk a lot on discord about my grow and post pictures; somebody told me today they joined the server specifically because of me...

Pruned and tied down further. They’re a lot more thirsty now each getting their own bottle of nutrients when I had been watering two to a bottle :)

Before I forget, nutrients are being increased for now. 5 ml (6-0-0) 15 ml (2-1-6) 5 ml cal/mag 20 ml liquid kelp 5.7/5.8 pH at 780 ppm My tap water reads zero ppm when I check it which is kind of surprising . Final ppm/EC was a lot more than I wanted so I diluted half the gallon in another...

Further water research reveals that the water here in Portland actually uses Chloramines which don’t evaporate by leaving water out overnight. Well, shit.

I’m amazed at how fast these plants are growing every time I check in on them. One of the plants started showing some yellowing signaling a hungry hungry hippo. Half dose of micro (6-0-0) (2.5 ml) added to the kelp water along with 10 ml of (2-1-6) and 5 ml cal/mag to the gallon of kelp water...

    Plumbers Grow Diary

Yep chicken shit is incredibly hot stuff but the combo of it mixed with the used cedar shavings I used to use as bedding made for some of the best compost I’ve ever made. I was fighting off marauding blackberry shrubs to lay claim to my compost bin regularly lol
