The more I'm looking at phosphorus deficiency the more this is looking like it actually. This goes back to my initial suspicion that there's a lockup in the coco coir - probably salt buildup since i skipped a day of watering and things havent been quite the same since. Guess I'll flush them...

Even though it really looks a lot like calcium deficiency I’m suspicious about it since I’ve been giving calmag with every feeding. I suppose I should double up on the calcium dosage. The other plants seem fine. Mysterious.

Leaves on this one are getting worse and I’m not sure what the actual cause is. Salt buildup in the coco?

Some minor spotting on the bottom leaves of one of the plants; probably a pH issue since I made a large change for the last watering. They need a 5th round of tie downs already and I’m about to water them before they snooze.

Further water research reveals that the water here in Portland actually uses Chloramines which don’t evaporate by leaving water out overnight. Well, shit.

Yep chicken shit is incredibly hot stuff but the combo of it mixed with the used cedar shavings I used to use as bedding made for some of the best compost I’ve ever made. I was fighting off marauding blackberry shrubs to lay claim to my compost bin regularly lol
