I rocked GH Trio on my last RDWC run and used GH Kool Bloom. Add it after Bloom. I don't know exactly what you mean by "increasing crop", but you might see density improve. Also, you want to use it at low rates, I believe I used less than 1ml/G.
It sounds like you learned a valuable lesson in mixing RO and tap, I'm assuming you did that to try and cut down on wastewater, and as you found it turned it all into wastewater. No way of getting around the fact that in hydro you want to start with 0 ppm RO.
I am not sure what your total draw...
It's looking good! Do you clean up branches below the first net or let them ride out flower? I am a few days behind you in veg, flipping mine tomorrow. I am doing more cleanup this run since I had so many soft lower nugs where light did not penetrate. Also, if you ever decide to look for a new...
I don’t see any film at the sites or in the res, and my pump is off temporarily to prevent the overflowing (screw gravity returns). Unfortunately I do see plenty of sediment in the bottom of the res and a few bits of roots. I should have gone with new hydroton for sure.
I will have to do a res...
That’s interesting. I’m wondering if it’s even possible for the H202 to have an affect since the hydroton was completely dried after the washing. I’m stumped. Maybe @Aqua Man has an idea
I transplanted my second run into buckets yesterday and noticed some minor foaming last night. I woke up to about 3 gallons of water on the floor that bubbled over the lids, and when I returned from work today found another 10 or so gallons on the floor. Clearly this is not going to work itself...
After going through the process and now having some foaming issues, I'd say screw the cleaning. It's cheap enough, you're probably always better off getting new and rinsing thoroughly rather than trying to clean all of the roots and salts without any problems and having that be worth your time.
I just finished my first grow and I am looking for some reassurance on my hydroton cleaning technique.
The hydroton dried out for 2 weeks, I have three 5 gallon buckets 3/4 full, and today I rinsed them with tap water, then added bleach, and agitated for a minute or so. I let that soak for a...
Well, these plants turned out to be Sophie's Breathe and I yielded 20 oz on my first grow without any major issues, so I will call it a success. The plants grew tall and cost me light distribution and weight, but I recently raised the lights 5" by eliminating unnecessary hangers and will be...
Flower Day 67
Started the flush day 65, straight RO water. I have to chop them down on day 70 or wait until the following Monday, and I think they'll be ready.
I did not tuck and scrog like a planned to, instead, they grew through and used the trellis for support. A few colas that grew within...
If you have leaking bulkheads you need to address the seal on the inside of the bucket. You can use a gasket if you have not tried that already.
Like @Aqua Man said, it seems like you went 95% of the way on setting up the buckets with bulkheads but stopped at the res. If you add the bulkhead...
@GreenFlowerer Thanks for checking in! These pictures were at the start of Week 7. I backed off to 1100 ppm then. Trichs have a ways to go, but I will start keeping a closer eye on them soon.
So far everything has been smooth, I had a few thrips early on that probably came with the clones, but...
