I have been vegging with 24 hours of light. Would you recomend 18/6 or should I just focus on keeping the temps up during the night during flowering??

    Need Help Preventing Node Stretch!

That's a good point, this may have been a big factor with my set-up, but I got an accurate thurmostat now so theres only a fluctuation of a couple degrees now.

    Need Help Preventing Node Stretch!

I veg for two weeks, I want the colas to be 10-14g's so I dont think 3 days is practical. It usually takes 5 or 6 days for the clones to really start rocking then they explode quickfast! In theory having the light so close should help prevent the stretching no?

    Need Help Preventing Node Stretch!

I am trying to grow compact single cola plants, but I am having problems with node stretch. I have just purchased a track to improve the coverage I am getting from my two 600's and have lowered the lights to a distance of 14" above the plant tops. What else can I do to keep the distance in...

Raising healthy mother's - need help!

I am about to start raising some mothers for the second time. My first go did not turn out so well, they became stretched and lanky real fast! I am not sure the exact name of the strain I am using, but I am told it is in the White Widow family. I have no space issues and my goal is to cultivate...

    Sucanat & h2o???

It should be noted that I am using rockwool cubes not soil. I am using DNF nutes which I believe are chemical. Before I put any Sucanat in the water I was noticing a pretty thick grey/translucent goup on my pump and walls of the rez. At this time I was using 200ml of H2O2 in an 80 gal. rez...

    Intake air too cold??

During the day humidity is 45-55% At night 60-75% I have my in & out fan's set to turn off when the lights turn off. I do this because it is much harder to keep the temperature up during the night if the fans are on. I do have speed controllers, they are usually on high during the day.

    Intake air too cold??

Light's on temp 20-24C Light's off temp 17-20C with heater, otherwise it would drop to 13C.

    Sucanat & h2o???

I know it is a highly controversial technique but I have decided to use SUCANAT in the last 2 weeks of flowering. My understanding is that it feeds organizims that in turn feed the plant. I am wondering if I should discontinue the use of H2O in my rez during this time so it does not nuetralize...

    Intake air too cold??

I put a dehumidifier in the room and turn it on at night...but the humididty is still climbing to high 60's-low 70's...what else can I do to drop it?

    Intake air too cold??

That's a very good point, I have always seemed to get more potent results when temps are lower at night. At night when the temps drop the humidity is soaring up to %85. Is this ok? I am worried it may cause bud rot as I enter week 5 & 6 of flowering. I had 3 or 4 kolas that started to rot...

    Intake air too cold??

Yea I use a heater to keep the temp around 16C at night, and I shut off the intake and out off to keep some heat in. The funny thing is the cold air is blowing right on the tops of the plants, but they are doing amazing! No leaf distortion or curling, everything is looking very stong, healthy &...

    Intake air too cold??

I am worried that my intake air may be too cold, I stuck a digital thermometer inside the intake for a minute and it showed the air was 7 degrees celcius. Is this too cold to be blowing on the plants? The temp. is dropping to around 16C when lights are off.

Flowering old mothers on drip system.

I am running a drip system to flower some mothers that have become high maintinence. I know with rockwool it is never good to water when the lights are off. Does this mean I should also shut my drip system off during at night?
