Please Help Me Id These Bugs In My Soil (pics)

www.hypoaspis.com.au I found this for some info on the hypoaspis mite. It appears that at early stages they have six legs and not eight. They develop eight legs later in their life cycle. Good call shroom and Tnelz on the mite. Hard to tell in those pics. Wasn't trying to mislead anyone but...

Please Help Me Id These Bugs In My Soil (pics)

The brown colored bug, from what I can see, only has six legs. Meaning its not a mite, because they have eight legs. Six legs and that shape could be root aphids, but I don't see tailpipes. The second picture I really can't tell but looks maybe like a springtail possibly. Its really hard to tell...

    Ozone Generator?

Have you thought about just running a carbon filter and fan out side the room? That may be all you need.

    Yellowing Leaves....i Know...zzzzz

I didn't have much luck running organics in coco. They look hungry to me too! Roots excel isn't enough diversity to break down organics. Maybe try a compost tea if you wanna run organics in coco. I had the same problem in my coco and switched to chemical base nutes (cyco) and they picked up in a...

Leaves Curling Downward And Turns Yellow

I have only run a couple autoflowers and they didn't do to good. Both of them got hit by bugs and it stunted them at about 12 inches. They never really recovered and the buds looked like crap so I tossed them. They were free seeds anyway lol. I don't know if that would happen when overwatered...

    Met-52 Update!

Sorry to hear about your girl! That kemo is harsh stuff. I have patients who are in the same boat. My heart and prayers go out to you guys. I have a boy with autism, and as hard as that is to deal with it's nothing compared to having to deal with kemo requiring illnesses from what I've seen...

    Met-52 Update!

Same here brother! I would throw my plants out before using chemicals on consumables. That No Fly stuff appears to be a microbial product as well. I am leary of using anything that kills soft body insects in fear of it killing my neematodes though. However I have used chemicals on plants before...

Leaves Curling Downward And Turns Yellow

I'm not real familiar with that mix, but maybe putting those pots on a heat mat will help to dry them out a bit.

Th The root mass on those two that aren't doing as well may not be able to handle the water as much as the others.

Leaves Curling Downward And Turns Yellow

What type soil/medium are you using? Looks like overwatering like shroom said, but I have had plants do that when the medium was too hot.

    Met-52 Update!

I like that website! Have you tried out the No Fly? I wonder if it would be effective on root aphids. I like the Met 52 because it doesn't kill my beneficial nematodes. I think I will call these guys and find out if the No Fly will take out my neematodes lol.

This is for the folks using Met-52 or for folks wanting to acquire Met-52. My usual source, Green Mountain Harvest, has sold the account for this product. Now it can be acquired here americanclayworks.net. If this has already been posted I apologize for not seeing it.

Bayer Natria Insecticidal *organic* Soap Spray For Mites

I have seen the Natria products at the Depot, but I have never used them. Keep us updated on the results. We had a few 60s-70s degree days here in CO and have already seen some bugs out. Been anxiously awaiting to get my heirloom veggies going. Starting mine from seed though.

    Super Soil Pests

So I just read this on the Planet Natural website. Never heard this before. Fungus Gnat Predators (Hypoaspis miles) actively search for fungus gnat larvae and other harmful soil insects to attack after release. The predators come as 10,000 mites of all stages in vermiculite and peat. The adult...

Found Reason For Phantom Sickness And Distorted Growth

Amblyseius fallacis (= Neoseiulus fallacis) is an excellent general predator mite for control of many different types of mites in hotter, drier situations than other predatory mite species can handle. Particularly recommended for spider mites on roses and vegetable crops in greenhouses, this...
