    Post your Organic Soil Mix

Only thing would need to cook would be cow manure if you're getting it fresh, if getting in a bag, mix is ready to go, no cooking required.

For first grow to make it simple I'd suggest 2 gal of a good quality living potting soil (I typically go for a local one), 1.5 gal worm castings, 1/2 gal cow manure, 1/2 gal per lite or rice hulls, 1/2 gal coco coir....maybe add in a little cover crop on top and cover with some mulch/hay

    1st Grow!

Also try vegging under a T5, way cooler light than a HPS, MH or even a larger LED, and they're cheaper. I'm vegging now under a T5 and a Kind LED, getting good results so far. Once I start flower stage, I'll be adding some small LED bulbs in with T5 to get full spectrum growth, but I know...

I bought some cheap ones from there to do seed starting with, doing first run...

Yeah I wasn't have any success at all with germinating a seed in rock wool at all. So I was thinking about germinating outside and then cutting rock wool open and using a rubber band to hold it back together.

I haven't had any luck with the paper towel method. I've set them in plastic bags on a heat mat and nothing popped. Could be the water temp I was using; I used some collected rain water, guess I'll try the warm tap water.

    Light Burns?

About two weeks ago, I came home from a weekend trip and found one of my plants leaves looking crispy around the bottom and seedling dead. Figured it must be the light so I moved the plant around, just to see it's still happening and now it's even with plants that had no signs of burn or...
