Hey guys I’m back once again ready to experiment a bit since it seems I like to keep switching it up for the fun of it! So let me lay down the specs and style of grow I’m going to go for this time.

Cultivar: Jungle Cake clone (Wifi 43 x Wedding cake)
bred and selected by the Jungle boys!!!

The plan is to grow bigger plants in 10 Gal plastic pots using a scrog net to weave these girls into under 720 watts in full bloom.

Lights:Medic Grow fold8

Nutrients:
- roots organics terp tea dry amendment line
-buildasoil craft blend dry amendments
-Recharge (microbes, fulvic/humic acid,kelp extract)
-buildaflower top dress (worm castings, bio char, rootwise microbe complete, and some other goodies)

Soil is reused and I’ve had great results using this already alive microbe and myco fungi rich soil. I have been soaking and agitating the roots of my freshly harvested plants trying to strip as much mycorrhizae and microbes as I can before adding that to the used soil mix.

Here’s the 3 plants in 2 gal pots about a week ago maybe less

Here they are today after transplant in the 5x5. They seem unfazed and ready to stretch their roots into their new pots. Have a good weekend!!!

Got the carbon filter hooked up and ready and also set up the trellis net and bent these girls over

I’m trying out these drainaway trays I got for POTM and I also forgot to mention some of the things I’m using for this grow which is forsure worth mentioning! Montana grow silica supplement which is mined from a 100 million year old volcanic deposit! After using silica I won’t grow without it! Grab a bag from the buldasoil website to get your all natural silica supplement needs. I’m also using bokashi fermented rice bran to boost the break down of the dry amendments and if you’re an organic grower you know you love seeing that white fuzz (mycelium) growing on the surface of your soil.

These plants really took off and I think I’m gonna send them to flower tomorrow!!! There was a slight mag deficiency so I gave them a foliar feed with Epsom salts and kelp extract. They are reaching for the light and growing vigorous!

Here’s a little teaser of the new viparspectra 150 watt fixture that will be released to the public this week!!! Stay tuned for an incoming grow journal testing 2 of these fixtures. They really are setting the bar high and I expect other companies will follow suit. Those 120 degree lens covers spread the light better and angle it to get deeper into the canopy. These are super nice fixtures spider farmer watch out!

Day 1 of flower begins tonight when my lights kick on. So technically today but I’ll be counting day 1 of Flower tomorrow. I did a nice top dress with some Terp Tea bloom and buildaflower top dress which is castings, ole mountain fish compost, bio char, microbe inoculant, mustard seed meal, and some other stuff. Also added some hydrozyme horticultural enzymes. Let’s get it!

Yeah man, ive got 1 here with a 2x2 they sent me for seedlings and clones, so far im loving it. Gonna run a couple autoflowers under it and see how she performs. So far im diggin the little thing, seems like its built real solid too, weighs quite a bitbfor its size.

5 days into flower and these plants are exploding with growth! VPD is dialed in and they are getting the full 720 watts of high intensity light! After the stretch I’ll remove everything below the net so they can focus all their energy up top. The drainaway trays work great and any runoff is collected in the solo cup making it really easy to deal with. Enjoy the weekend fam!

About time for the next phase which will be removing everything under the net over the course of a few days so I don’t stress them too much. I’ve increased watering to 1.5 gal every other day. I’ll probably be doing 1.5-2 gal daily for each plant once they are in full bloom. Things are going smooth

Ending day 11 let’s go! Top dressed a half cup of craft blend and 2 cups of buildaflower. Hoping they don’t stretch much more I’ll be trying to weaving the middle branches thru the net one more time. Sitting right at 1000 ppfd in the middle maybe a tad more. I cleaned up some of the lower growth and will take more as things progress. Feminized BX1 seeds will be made using the Wifi 43 which is one of the parents of this Cultivar.

Ya some strains can take more than others forsure. They are pushing up thru the net more in the middle compared to the sides. So to keep a nice even canopy the sides have been left to grow and the middle has been tucked and weaved like crazy. I think I’m gonna get some of those gorilla grow tent bars that are meant to keep your tent from being sucked in due to the exhaust creating alot of negative pressure. I figure I could zip tie a lot more sections of the net all the way down that bar making it more flat with less slack for the next run instead of only being able to fasten the net each corner where the frame of the tent is.

Day 13 flower and these plants wouldn’t slow down! I had to get in there and do some maintenance as the plants started growing too much into the light. The canopy got so thick that they couldn’t breathe and transpire properly so I did lots of tucking and weaving and removed a lot of leaves especially at the middle. Also the increase airflow I removed alot of growth below the net.

Anyone want to snag up this last Jungle Cake? It will be awhile before I have a mother ready to go. Pair this with Grape gas, trop cherry, and now I’ve got some Blue cookies available too which is another that is only available now until I get a mother going. It’s a blueberry X cookies cross not the phenotype.

Things are starting to get interesting! The plants kept growing and I ended up dimming the light down to 80%. This run is going so good I’m gonna go get the co2 tank filled tomorrow so I can take the lights back to 100% and and give these plants like 1200+ ppm of co2. I wanna keep the momentum going and see how much I can get out of this space. I’m getting the feeling I’m gonna crush yield numbers this run. Then in a few more weeks I’ll hit em with the UVB

On day 27 Co2 was added and we have the lights back to 100%. We are at day 29 of flower and the canopy is sitting around 1200+ ppfd and my co2 levels are around 13-1400 ppm. After this tank of co2 I’ll dim the light back to 80% and let these plants finish. I’ll be firing up the UVB fixtures soon to keep pushing these plants to be as terpy as possible!

Day 34 Flower and the plants are just raging under the high light intensity and Co2 concentrations. 1.5 gal every other day with 1/4 gal on the off day to keep the soil moist. I’ll probably be increasing more on the “off” day to a 1/2 gal. Then around day 40 or so we will start the UVB
