This bagseed is into 13 weeks at 12/12 under an 400HPS in soil.
Do you think these look ripe yet?
Trics are cloudy to clear.

These plants were grown from bagweed seeds and some seeds I had laying around for years and are in the 13 week of flowering.
This is my first grow and I am determined not to crop early out of impatience.

I'm thinking they are a Sativa strain and there for may take a little longer.
I just don't want to wait too long, but with that being said I still have not seen that RIPE look yet.
I have clear to cloudy trics.
Out of desperation I've switched from 12/12 lighting to 11/13 with the hope this would simulate the shorter days of fall.
Any suggestions would be glady taken into consideration.

Cut a smaller piece that looks done. Microwave it wrapped in paper towel at med. low for 30 second blasts. Don't over cook it. It should take 3-5 times in the microwave. It won't taste great but smoke it in a bong/pipe and waite 10 minutes. Then judge it for yourself and make a decision. But, 13 weeks should be plenty of time flowering if done correctly (and assuming it's not a 15-18+ week haze)............ And if you want to try to hasten flowering, go down to 10 hrs. of light-on.

The bud is very good its an excellent up-high.
I've been picking buds since 60 days into flowering and its only got better with curing. Now its 13 days into flowering. My plants are loaded with buds I'm a believer in supercropping. So even after pulling about 6 decent size buds there's still lots of colas and buds.
I just want to make sure I don't harvest before I've reached full ripeness.

I started flushing at 8 weeks thinking this is the approximate time to start flushing.
After 2 weeks I realized the plants were still showing new growth so I started organic feeding (FF Big Buds) again for 1 week and then went back to flushing.
The plants have a fruity almost grapefruit smell and the buds are BIG~

I'm seeing more crystals now that I changed the lighting to 10/14. I think I will let them go a little longer.

It all depends on your patience and target high. By the looks of the pictures your plants still have plenty of white hairs. This means that calyx production is still in full swing and your buds are still putting on weight. Letting them go longer will result in bigger buds.

Also you have to consider the high you will get from the weed. It is said that a more mature plant will yield a more couch lock high. Whereas a less mature plant will yield a more up beat high.

I personally would let the plant go until calyx production slows and external hairs are mostly orange/red.

I quit!
Planted 6-12-09
Harvested 11-11-09
I still had clear to cloudy trics.
I have so much bud I wont need to grow for a long time.
My house just stinks from hanging buds!
It's like a forest down there!

Don't forget to keep the air moving around those gals. Don't make like a hurricane...just a gentle breeze from your fan so they don't get moldy on you...they look pretty dense and you wouldn't want to ruin them....

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and bet that they're worth the wait!! Harvesting a little early will prevent CBD/CBN from reaching their peak levels; GREAT for a non-drowsy buzz, but not so great for purely medical purposes.

I hung the buds in my 4x4 foot grow room with the lights off and the same ventilation I used for the grow.
I'm lazy and didn't want to take down my lights and fans so I decided to hang 9 vertical lengths that are six foot each and I attached each length to my grow room ceiling and starting at the bottom I hung using a twisty my largest buds and worked my way up to the ceiling. all 9 six lengths are stung with buds.
and are drying slowly.
Any advice?

Yea -
1) Dry and cure in the dark
2) Keep substantial airflow on them
3) Be patient
