A friend of mine said if I went from 3.5 gallon buckets to 15 I would double my yield. I get great results now is it beneficial to use the 15 gallon bucket ruining two plant to every 1000

At 2 per light you need to be in a large pot. Im up to 7gallon pots at 4 per light and im thinking 10g squat pots next time. My girls are sucking up water every other day. No way they could go any longer. I always like it every other day. If it takes longer the pots to big.
I was thinking of going from a 5 gallon pot of pure coco to a 7 gallon pot. I knew that coco was hydro so if I'm growing in pure coco in a 5 gallon bucket and I switched to a 7 gallon bucket with the appropriate veg time would it increase my yield substantially or should I just stick to the 5 gallon bucket I know you can grow some big ass plants with a 5 gallon pot my last grow I pulled 8 zips per plant in a 5 gallon pot . When growingin pure coco does the size of your pot effect the size of your plant as much as if u were groing in soil?? Would growing in A 5 gallon pot of pure coco be same as growing in say a 7 gallon pot in soil?? I only ask because I want to know if upgrading to a 7 gallon pot will up my yield by a substantial amount or should I just stick to the 5 gallon pot?? Either way I think I might buy a few 7 gallon buckets just to see.
Some plants had a lb per plant never seen anything like it and he was doing it all day long. Notsure how but I had to trim them. Buds were size of my leg.
HI
Imho smartpots or the knock off rock!!!
I've talked to owner and these are some of the points I took away from convo..
1. These pots were 1st used in the growing of mass treeproduction on a farm...
You know the kind you buy and transplant and they take off... usually 6-10' tall.
Lol now ask yourself your question again will I get large plants from using smart pots YESSSSS!!!!!
imho get rid of horizontal lighting and hang lights vertical and double stack them and grow TREE'S 2-4 lb per plant... mimic dd's system without the rdwc just 20 gall smart pots...
2. You have to understand how roots grow in a pot to fully understand the KICKASS ABILITIES of the smart pot..
When roots hit the side of a plastic pot they swirl get long, but swirl...
S.P. prunes: This means that when the roots hit the pot it cuts/pruns it off.Now the root will still grow threw but only a little,BUT THE MAGIC IS. When the root is pruned it tells the plant to send another root. then days later its pruned and another root is sent and this reapeats itself OVER AND OVER... While your plastic pots are sending roots MUCH SLOWER And the long 1's just keep swirling..(if you don't believe me tip your plant over slide out pot and look @ roots all swirling)..
3. final point playing off point 2 is: he stated that becuse of this pruning/sending of roots so fast HE CLAIMED THAT YOU DOUBLED YOUR POTS SIZE... So a 1 galon is equivalent to a plastic 2 galon, 3 = 6 7=14 15=30 20=40 etc....
Now its has been proven and even recently here in dd's 10 plant test THAT A PLANTS DRIP LINE/abilty to grow sideways determines how tall/wide the plant will get HEALTHLY (LOL weve all left a plant to long in a small pot and she got TALL however not healthy AND NOT WIDELY /BUSHY)
So imho the best yway to handle this is do a 20 gal+ (cause there wider)...
and if hieght or cost of nutrients or coco is an issue dont fill all the waydo have way or 75% of the way..
Also when hand watering and you have full smart pots.ITS CAN CAUSE POT TO OVERFLOW FROM THE TOP.. (Even though coco is pourouse even if you use perlite) The water take a second to drop just like in soil.
Coco just drops faster..
So to combate this ALWAYS LEAVE FEW INCHES FROM TOP FOR WATER TO SIT(usually drops within seconds)..
