Outdoor Plants - Guerilla Grow 2011 Update

I went and checked on my outdoor plants today in the woods, it was after raining all night, and i wanted to shack the rainwater off the plants so no place for mold will start..
They must of had or started their swell, being that the plants were outdoors, i was unable to find out when they went into flowering, but it says that they finnish up late september, and i know for a fact in august they start to flower around here where i am,
give and take thats 8 weeks right there, so i was thinking untill the start of october, the first week, or just get a led scope 30x, and check the rasin glands..
The buds are realllly packin on now so its only time befour their cut down atleast to he end of the month, let me know what you think...

Day 28 (4wks) Of Flowering - SCROG - 9/10/11

First and most formost, Id like to send my condolences and sympathy to the familys and 1st-Responders of the 9/11 attacks, 10 years ago.
You will never be forgot of that misrabile day that happened on 9/11, my prays go out to the familys of the lost.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today is day 28, 4weeks of flowering for my scrog, The buds are really starting to takeshape and pack on, its more so the loose wimpy buds right now, but hey its only week 4, im going to run this scrog in flowering for another 6weeks, for a total of a 10weeks flower..
Now i did do some updates to the scrog setup this week, and picked back up on my slugish acts of lazyness, and started back on my daily checklist of the growroom,
- We topped the water level off with 10gallons of filtered water
- I done something a little different with the advanced nutes this time, I put 15mls of grow, and micro, and 20mls of bloom, to see if theres better results with bloom.
- Cleaned up al underneith the scrog, all the foiledge hanging down and growing there was cut off and disposed of,
- Picked off and cleaned up all the 50%dead foiledge off the scrog and cleaned up all around the tops of the plants,
- Lastly, I cleaned cleaned cleaned alllll around the tent and grow room, making sure there wasent as much as a peice of dust left around, cleanleness is essential in this grow!! hydro is nothing to fuck with haha.

Note - Photos were takin befour checklist, will update better photos by week 5 of bloom for scrog!, along with outdoor plants as well by then.

these clones are for nextyears crop, altho their different ages right now, by the time may1st 2012 comes, ill have a few plants that are different ages but owell, itsall the same in the end!!, stay tuned

so i set my flush date, and harvest date for both the Outdoor Chrystal & Dominican Plants, and the Indoor Chrystal Clone SCROG..

The Flush for the outdoor plants starts within 2 weeks, then in 3 weeks i add all natural sugar to the flush filtered water for only 7 days, Then by Oct 4th - Oct 7th, the girls come down, get cut at the stock at 10am, cut into lenth of 1ft, and wrapped in newspaper and transported to get manicured and hung to dry for 2 weeks - 14days, then onto the screens for the first cure for 7 to 10 days, then into the brownpaper bags for the final cure for 7 days, then into the rubber-sealed jars for storage, and set sit for 7days befour smoking, to make for a crisp perfect bud. Ready to smoke by Nov. 7th or 8th:)

The indoor SCROG now, its a different story, by Oct, 7 or 9th, the go ahead and clean the 10gallon res. out with high pressure water, and re-fill with 100% filtered water, by Oct 15th to 16th, I go ahead and add all natural sugar untill october 22ed for harvest. But befour harvest im going to turn the lights off for 60 hours, starting at 8pm on Oct. 20th right to October 22ed at 8am, right at 8am, the plants in the scrog gets cut down at the base and taking out from the scrog, being manicured and trimmed all at the same time, then hung in the drying room seprate from the outdoor buds,, then by Nov. 4th, after a 2week drying session on the drying lines, they go on the screen by nov. 4th for 7 to 10 days, By Nov. 30th they go into the brown paper bags for 1 weeks 7 days, untill Dec. 6th, then into the mason rubber-seal jars for storage, and not smoked for 7days for a nice firm crispy bud. By Dec 12th The indoor hydro SCROG Chrystal buds will be ready to smoke by my likings:) Xmas Buds, might help me save money for the family for a better christmas for my kids and wife:)

Day 31 Of Flowering - SCROG - 9/13/11

Hey guys, just quick update on how the SCROG is doing,

They are on the 4th week of bloom, in day 31 today, I spent the last two days trimming leaves up and cleaning up the scrog, i finnaly got the scrog where i want it now, all cleaned up where the fan can blow nice clean air threw the buds and around them,
With all the leaves that i picked off from the stem, i put in a plastic bag, took all the air out of the bag, and popd them in the deep freezer untill the end of october.
Well now its almost in the home strech, the harvest date to cut the plants down are on oct. 22ed, with a 2 1/2 week flush, and 60hor dark period befour there cutdown at 8am.

The outdoor plants should be doing their swell soon, By Saturday or Sunday of this week, i plan to start the flush for the outdoor plants, or if i wait until next tuesday, or wednesday, around the 19th or 20th of sept. The flush is going to consist of a 2week flush, :banana1sv6:

Heres some photos of the scorg, the outdoor plants will be updated tomorrow, so stay tuned!!

P.s The first 2 photos are a befour and after photo of the SCROG, befour the trim, and after the trim, let me kno what you think, to much, or just right? :sweating

Also, I got to test some Chrystal bud yesterday in a nice L shape zigzag, nice big long chrystal joint, It was just how the seed description says, a quick hitting high, with a smell of kerosean, and a spicy, earthy taste,
The THC crystals are just a blanket over the buds, indoor and out, mostly indoor tho, it was a great joint to try and test, When i get the biggest cola from my indoor , then my biggest for my outdoor, im going to do 3 smoke reports in 1 (1st-Indoor SCROG Hydro Chrystal buds, 2ed-Outdoor soilgrow Chrystal buds, 3ed- Dominican Republic outdoor, in soil)..

And when i done my trim today and lastnight i saved up the finger hash i collected, I had my hash pipe ready with a new screen and all cleaned out, soons i finnished trimming, i rolled the finger hash, pressed it in my Hash Presser, flated it to a nice fat wafer, and smoked it, wowww, thats all i gott to say, is wow its bomb stuff wish i could share:)

I went ahead and sexxed my first plant ever, I took a small 1ft clone that already started to flower and took a paint brush a fine one, and brushed on pollen on the pistles on the top, and around the top, i went ahead and collected alot more pollen for my 2 other clones i plan to sex, I started them in flowering 3 days ago, so after day 20 when the white pistles are blooming high and long, ill go ahead and with the fine brush, brush on enough pollen for 3 days to ensure proper pollenation,
with the resulting in Dominican Republic X Chrystal F1 Hybrid (White Widow X Northern Lights), then with that strain i made, im going to grow out 20 of them, pick the best male and the best female, sex them together for a Dominican's Chrystal - F1 Hybrid - Homemade Cross,

Let me kno what yuh think, i think this strain im making is goingto be a nice one, if you notice the top of this page, page 13, the top photo outdoors is dominican republic, you can see a blanket of crystals, then the taller greener plants are the chrystals, with atleast 1 to 1 1/2 ft colas up and down them.. should be a good medical strain if all goes well, if it does work out, i wanna send 100 to 200 to the farm for people to bid on and try out for themself, Let me kno wat yuhs think!!

Wow.... U really took away allot of their energy production by choppin off so many fan leaves. If u really want to help ur plants tuck the leaves under or cut a couple of the blades off or in half. U may want to go a little less trimmin happy next go.

The reason for u doing that much thining of ur canapy would be if u had a lot of under growth u needed to illuminate, but it doesnt look the case for u.

Just my .02 here.

Peace,
S i R

do you think it will hurt my buds formation, by chopping off all those leaves, or think it will be okey?

Hey. Firstly, thanks for keeping the thread going.

I just came across it today and its PERFECT for what ill be doing in the coming months. I've never had a tent or scrog and im going to be emulating your scrog and some of your methods so keep up the good work and dont fail!!! Else i will!!

I suspect ill come back with some questions later because i've only read the last 2 pages so i want to go back and see what i can answer for myself. Im definitely cloning ur scrog make up. clever screen set up.

I didnt know you had to trim so much in a scrog. Let me know if you think you over did it or if its just right. Thanks!

Thanks.

Well, first off, thanks alot for comein onto my journal and checking it out, seemed like fora while the journal was dead,
Now in my own opinion, i think i over done it a little with the trimming, if i had my chance to do it over again, id leave atleats 50% of the leaves on it, only clearing the leaves that are in the way of buds.. but o well, well see how she turns out now, i just checked on the scrog befour there, and it seems to be doing great, evn with the buds trimmed like they are ..

If yuh have anymore questions or anything jus let me kno, i check this journal atleast 10 times a day mosttimes, so ill see if anyone comments on the journal, so please stay tuned for more updated tomorrow!!!!

Keep working hard. Seems like you are learning a lot.

ok done! Finally reached the end. lol.

Wow that was quite a adventure u've being having, amazing now that i see the end result ...soooooo mannnnyyy topppssss.... from them few plants that you put in. You did a great job on them. Well done.

I do feel like the farm could of done a bit more to advise you and comment a lil more. Especially near the start and start of bloom when you clearly needed questions answered but nobody jumped in. Apologies for that. Im only on run 5 and never did a scrog so i'd be no help. Kudos to your green thumb for preserving and sorting it all out. and thanks again for not dropping the 'dead' journal. Without writing, readers cannot learn. Like yourself, I've now got all this information and your experience to learn from so i appreciate the effort.

In the last year of reading this site(my first, and i stay loyal to it!) , ive come to realise that just because a thread is not getting replied do, doesnt mean it has no interest to others. Ive learnt TONs from posts going back to 2008, I dont post on them, they're old and dead, and yet still give new comers the needed information. So your thread will help for long after the time when even you've forgotten it.

Now here come my leeching questions after the flattery ;)

1: The large Dom rep plant you mentioned WAY back for keeping for the winter time for 40+ on a 18/schedule.. REALLY? your gonna do that. Would you not jsut clone it and keep a couple of small clones alive under some small CFLS? WAY less power draw and stuff. a year worth of power adds up!

2: From the way your scrog was set up, all your plants start out in the middle, you bent them + the main stalk very horizontally to fill the screen from the center. Did they have any issues with this? or was it ok to bend them so much from a support perspective?

3: What height is your scrog screen from the ground, and what height above the start of your soil/pot tops?

4: When beginning the scrog, say you have plants abotu 8 inches high. Should they be topped numerous times before starting the scrog over them? Like should i have 4-6 tops before starting the scrog screen training?

5: I think i read your light is 18 inches above the screen, can a 400 wat no get much closer? I see light hitting the side walls, Do you think you could lower the light so it hits just the edge of the canopy sides?

6: sooooo many tops.... i drool... Any advice on getting this many?

and finally, just to save me asking more questions. If you were redoing it, what things will you change for next time? :D

Thanks for the journal, it was really informative and ridiculously descriptive. And i learnt alot from the pictures!! more! always more pictures! :D

Well done farmer.

Week 7 of Bloom - Outdoor Plants / 9-19-2011

Hey tinker, Thanks for the kind words, i really appriate it, like you said its been dead as a nit the last few weeks, but i did keep it going and plan to keep it going so when its all said an done, i can have it for my personal files to learn from,

But to answer your questios for you,

Question 1 - Well that was way bak when i was starting out, and thought id have the space and time for that many clones inside here, but i then changed my mind to cloneing where i have great success now, I happened toget a male out of the dominican republic plant so i sexxed 3 of my 12 chrystal clones for seeds for next season, other then that i only have 10 clones now, and they are in the firstweek of bein cut, i plan to cut about 10 more and have 20 chrystal clones, growing them for 3 weeks, then flipping to a 9 week bloom for a pre-summer harvest..

Question 2 - yes, the way i bent those clones in the scrog was th whole clone about 4inches up from the net cups, i started to bend them, if i had my chance over, id let the plants grow into the scrog, taking every top and topping or fimming it atleast 6 to 8 times, then training the tops threw each square in the scrog. but i never had a problem with the clones they way i bent them, the buds are turning out great, nice hard dense buds, all is well so far:)

Question 3 - from the ground 1 1/2 ft, from the net cups 4inches

Question 4 - since then i switched the luma 400watt MH/ HPS Aircooled light to 12 inches, then since then i moved it to 10inches where it seems to be doing great now, its fixxd right above the buds with a fan on 24/7..

Question 5 - the tops, well since the 4th nod i topped the plants once, then on the 8th nod, i top it 2 times, then 4 times, then 8 times, then 16 times, and so on and so forth, theres a plant i have outside that has over 35 to 40 tops, and its huge, and wide, massive plant, and right now i can easly say its yeailding a pound atleats.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, my outdoor plants update,

I checked the girs today, their doing awesome, great, looking frosty, and huge..
I picked all the dead shit off it and cleaned them up, gave them their last batch of advnaced nutes grow micro bloom today, ill let them settle in fr 7 days, then go and do a 4l flush on each plant, then for every 4 days after the first flush, ill go and do a flush, by 20 days from today, on oct. 7th im going to be cutting the plants down for a harvest, or possibly even sooner, ill let you guys be the judge.. i think the end of th month, the start of october, but im not sure,
If anyone can look at these girls and just suggest how long you think is left or if its time or not, i didnt get my scope yet, so i cant get glands, i mgiht have to suck my up pride and go buy one at the local hardwear store..

heres some photos, the first few are the domincan republic, and the taller ones are chrystal, enjoy:)

also i might as well add,
the two plants i had in a 1gallon pot and a 3 gallon pot, i plant has 8 tops where pistles are showing for 3 weeks now, and the 3 gallon plant had about 20 tops on her, so i collected pollen for 4 weeks now, I hit one clone thats about 1ft high with 1 main top first for a tester, that was 2 weeks ago, then i hit the other two Chrystal plants 2 nights ago with dominican republic pollen, so in total, all 3 plants where pollenated once so far with pollen, and i plan to pollenate all 3 plants atleast 2more time,
by putting pollen in a sandwich bad, tieing it around the top of the chrystal plant an shaking the bag 8 to 10 times a day for 2 days for each top, to thoughly pollenate the plant for a seed cropfor my indoor an outdoor grow next!!!, pics soon folks

Those last few pictures made me want to cry at my poor unscrogginess grows so far. Thats amazing man. This is a great journal. I'm totally just gonna rip your entire set up off! just 2X as big. Got my tent built tonight.

Keep an eye on my latest journal please. I'd love your help when it gets to scrogging the shizzle out of it. :)

Your harvest is going to rock.

With the schedule you've given, thats about another 5 weeks? are your strain long flowerers? I've only ever run my strains to 7-8 weeks.
