Seedling stress is better than stress later in its life cycle. I really think the stunting most would be comparing to would be training techniques. Topping and heavy defoliating/pruning will stunt the growth of any plant which is why they are techniques not recommended for autoflowers. A small seedling hurdle should be no issue.
Just a quick update to show how quickly the seedlings can grow out of it. My seedling's newest growth is looking normal.

Edit: Not backed by science, yet, but wanted to throw this out there.
Stunted growth as a seedling will only push back your harvest date. Stunted growth during veg will decrease your yield. Stunted growth during flower can cause hermies and/or lower yields.
Seedlings basically have no recovery time as they do not have much growth yet. Veg/flower plants will need recovery time after fixing the problem. Growth rate will be lowered from a much higher starting value and then take much longer to get back to where it was.
