Thanks man. I appreciate the advice. i tend to agree that I need to start the flush. I am not doing a long flush with the coco, so a diluted flush tomorrow and RO the rest of the way is the plan. If it isn't perfect I'll adjust the next run.

Bro I have a heater with a thermostate to keep the temps 76-78 24 hours a day. Do you have any place i can read on the rationale for the light change. I may try that.

its something I read years ago and do every run - last 2-3 weeks...

sometimes you get a strain that dont want to finish, cut out a half hour of light or so and it really helps...

one of the farm breeders had a article about it - he wouldnt say exactly how much time he cuts out - but recommended people experiment because he thought 12/12 was in most cases not what a plant wants exactly...

ill try and find that post - I originally read it in one of ed rosenthals first books from the very early 80's - really seems to work well with indicas and indica doms - when I ran nl I ran it at 11.5/12.5.

your night temps should be about 10 degrees less then your day temps - my lights on is 78-82 and my lights off is 70...

Cool, I'll have to research it. It makes sense though. I have to replace my timer after this run though. It drifts, I mean if I don't check it, it can be off by a half hour in a week. It is wired into the sub panel, so I haven't wanted to fuck with unitl after this run is done, so I have to adjust the time every couple of days. It is a pain in the ass and it has caused some minor light time fluctuations. On my next run with the new timer I will give that a shot the last few weeks. I heard that from my hydro shop too. I also just turned my heater down, thanks for the advice.

raiderfan , howdy everything is looking super perfect... so you got fungus gnats well this maybe the first piece of good info ive posted on the site



this kills fungus gnats and cut worms when they are babies basicly anything that has a larva stage gets pretty screwed up from this and i think its some kind of fungus so it doesnt hurt your plants at all you can spray this stuff on so hard i love it never seen fungus gnats after a week and i just soaked the first 2 inches of my medium with this stuff then BHAMMMM no gnats i swear BY this Product.. this works! and works well!

I raised the ppm's up toward the end of veg to about 650 ppm. I never went over 1200ppms and that was only for weeks 4-6 of flower and then tappered back down. I started cal/mag at week 4. I should have probably started earlier. I am using h&g nutes which are supposed to have enough cal/mag in their nute schedule, but they did seem to want more. I used about 80-90% of the recommended nutes and they responded well. The stretch from week 2-4 was where they got about 30% of their heigth. On the next run I will do my best to keep them under the scrog screen until week two of flower as that is when the buds start to form. The really surprising part was how soon thrichomes started showing up. Hey I will be flowering again in about 17 days, so we might be on the same schedule. ;)

Day 55 Flower

It has been tough the last few days with the family staying here for the holidays I have to sneak down to do my watering and I burned two tops of the vegging girls becuase I didn't raise the light. I ended up topping one of them.
I flushed with straight RO water tonight with 30-40% run off. The buds haven't changed much in size over the last couple days and the trichomes say they are so ready. I can't harvest until the 1st, as that is when the house guests leave, so that gives me another 7 days of flushing. I plan on letting them dry out the last few days. I only had time to take a couple pics.

The first is the trichomes, second is a side cola..but it looks so pretty I clicked a quick pic.

Thanks for the advice brother. I was planning on just letting the day I cut them down be on the day I would normally give them a drink. LOL I have heard of folks letting them dry out for a week, but not my plan. I just don't want them to be too wet when I chop.

That diy cloner is well worth building (100%) I luv mine!

Works like a charm. I can put them in the cloner and forget about them for ten days and they are ready to pot.
