So it's basically buying soil and adding amendments. Guano, bone meal...I forget exactly. What is super soil exactly? It's high in nutrients right? Look to high fertility vs high nutrient availability. Fertile soil can make nutrients available as needed...yah mean?
IMO my health shouldn't hurt others. Guano horrible. Bone meal could be the best but I don't know it's origins, I'd rather be happy with my ewcWhat is super soil exactly? Guano is the worst shit to hit the market. They go and disturb guano and the bats can't live there anymore or they will suffocateIMO my health shouldn't hurt others. Guano horrible. Bone meal could be the best but I don't know it's origins, I'd rather be happy with my ewc
It's natural, it's organic... made with guano! Yeah well i say You are the problem!Guano is the worst shit to hit the market. They go and disturb guano and the bats can't live there anymore or they will suffocate

Thanks for the info @Ecompost! I guess is what I’m trying to do is trying to make the healthiest med I can for myself. I used chemical fertilizers last year but it felt ... unnatural when I’m trying to go the other way. I don’t know if that makes sense. Another reason I wanted to start with a supersoil the is cost (if I’m wrong please correct me), not having to test for ph and ppm, and the simplicity of being able just to water. It just seemed to be the best overall package and then learn more about Organics from there. Crawl-walk-run mindset I guess and don’t feel like dumping a bunch of cash on unnecessary stuff.
- keeping the poly on all season issue are you saying it will be ok to leave it and add macros and mulch mats? Just makeing sure I’m on the same page.
-also garden store by house had a sale on “kings mix” by royal gold so I jumped on it and got 16x 3 cbft bags. (About 2 yds if I did my math right) going to use this soil for my smart pots and use the other soil for the bed.
-I guess my question is this. If you were to start from the beginning again knowing what you know now with a low buget. How would you do it? 6#-8# is my my goal to be able to cover me and 2 other people that need it for.
if you damp the matter before collection it reduces the dust impact. I have been collecting guano for years, same spot all the time, they leave in winter and come back again every year. I always damp the guano for my own health and tolerate it weighing more as I collect it. Guano is super good P and contains lysobacteria which are solid bio control and n fixers etc, also able to tolerate higher salinity. I dont sell it i collect it myself for myself. Over using it is not great and can taint the taste of weed which might be an issue for this guy if he wants clean tasting meds. but in moderation it is super potent since its technically insect bodies rich in complex carbohydrates and mineralsGuano is the worst shit to hit the market. They go and disturb guano and the bats can't live there anymore or they will suffocate
no dumb questions buddy, only silly answers. Is this a water only method mix? If not is there a feeding schedule of sorts? Like a top dressing? Sorry if these are dumb questions just want to make sure we’re on the same page.

if you use the plastic then no meed to add mulch etc, since simply covering the soil around the base of the plant is the same thing, if you used hay, woodchips, plastic or whatever, newspaper, cardboard etc etc but you only need one. If you are using plastic sheet as a cover for the soil, you wont need mulch matts, If its a poly tunnel, then depending on the conditions you might need to remove the cover to allow sufficient airflow.
Netting young outdoor plants is a good idea since its usually young plants that get hammered by virus carrying pests, whose own predators aren't quite warm enough or are yet to show up and this is not what we want.
