This is the reason I put shade over my plants. These cucumbers get very dramatic in the heat despite being well watered. I'm sure it's to protect them from overheating. I suspect if the cakes are getting cooked, the cannabis might well be also. I think it has made a positive difference so far

All this is American River Cane, non invasive, up at the pond. Bush hog and machete keep it in check. My problem is the dang wisteria. But at least it's not Kudzu.

I remember using a bush hog behind the tractor, those get the job done. The other low of having the knot weed is Japanese Beatles love it, I spend 2 to 4 x a day hand picking them and then dragon flies, birds, daddy long legs etc help eat them too.

I'd be growing mushrooms with a layer of mulch. I like working in my garden , it's not that big a deal to keep up. I'm out there inspecting things all the time as it is.😆
Ya, I’m doing that on purpose actually…first attempt anyhow. I’m just big on mulching, it’s amazing, it keeps everything moist and alive even in scorching heat.

Hey folks, this is a bit of a heads up and potential solution. I'm sure lots of you recognize the cute pretty little leaf hopper that likes to snooze on our plants. They really suck, I mean besides your plants juices they can carry this infection called a phytoplasma. It can, will stunt growth, delay maturation and decrease harvest. You can identify it bt the black tarry gunk on these new leafs. Diluted hydrogen peroxide will not kill it without damaging tender growth. I have treated this in the past with Monterey Complete fungicide. Mine is in transit. I've sprayed it with neem, to no effect, sprayed with LABs serum last night.
I see it on my plants every now n then. Haven't seen it hinder growth. It's in the pigment of the leaf, not a goo. I believe it to be considing with my Neem oil applications. U can see the color in the older leaves.

Yup that's a phytoplasma. It really wrecked a plant my first grow. Hadn't had any the past two years. Sometimes they push through but that fungicide did help. Keeping down the leaf hoppers helps.

Have

How recently did you add that mulch? It looks like they got a very acidic bath. Your mulch would be my first suspect. Dyed or not properly composted wood chips can rob your soil of nitrogen and be acidic at the same time. Just a guess.
Mulch was put down 3 weeks prior to planting. These are some updated photos from one of the plants. I wondered the same but just weird only 2 of 12 have this issue. Still new to this but learning everyday lol

Seems like a long time between feeding and watering. I prefer weekly 1/2 strength 1/4-1/3 gallon feedings for the first couple weeks after transplanting into the ground.

Once they've become established I do full strength, and increase the amount given to each plant. Now that stretch is upon us I've changed to 2, 1/2 gal feedings a week. By August.....bloom nutes.

My plants went outdoors mid May. NE Ohio . They loved that heat wave.!

What nutes u using.?
Right now i am using 2 tablespoons of pure blend pro mixed with 1 gallon of water per plant.

My autoflower is now looking like 3 autoflowers. 😂😂 7.5 weeks since sprout and still no signs of flower, so she hasn't even started stretching yet. I'm thinking this 2nd generation seed took on more of the photoperiod traits. But that's cool, the bigger the plant the more flower she'll produce.

Might be too much. Don't really know.

I'm feeding mine twice weekly, but only 1/2 gallon at a time for each plant. I may up it to 3/4 gallon, now that stretch is happening or starting very shortly.

The other garden. I haven’t shown my other garden at my other property in awhile.
