Finally going to build the room around my little 4x8 grow room experiment. Still a bit away from first harvest, but want to get it in a locked/sealed room asap.

This is in a warehouse with tall ceilings, so I am just framing all the way up, putting drywall, painting and insulating and same on the inside.

Will be asking for design ideas for lights/setup once the room is built in a week or two.

For those who are interested, spent $750 on the walls/door and that is including a delivery cost (Well worth it in my mind so save the freezing my ass off carrying..) :)

Lighting will probably run about $3000 and will add A/C and the other items including a new panel box just for this room.

Will take some pictures along the way, below is our starting space, which will have to be organized a bit to fit this huge room. :)

Yes, I am terrible a hammer, so this should be interesting. Would phone a friend except the 4x8 grow room is pretty apparent and don't really want to risk it...

If anyone good at building takes pity on me, please PM me! lol.

@Capulator - yes, the walls of the grow room have been super humid.. I had to put a de-humidifier in the room because I was concerned about too much humidity!
PS/ the hot tub is 5 feet tall.. way nice.

Here is other side w/ grow room and 2 cabinets setup. I am framing them right into the room I think.

Looks like my initial build will cost me a bit more than the $750.

I decided to do an 11 x 10 veg/clone/drying room and a 21 x 18 flower room.

Will probably be another $500 in lumbar/drywall, but better to do it all now the right way.

Looks like a 9 or 10 ft ceiling, conducive to using it and not building a roof. The beam running through the space will present some challenge. Think about using it in the grow, maybe separate the veg space on the small side, and the flower room on the other. What kind of AC do you plan to use?

@StoneyPufnstuff - Yeah, the beam is awesome for hanging the punching bag or lifting an engine.. but a bitch to frame around! :)
Probably using a wall AC/heat like in hotel rooms.. thoughts?

@Legal Grower , nice space, beam shouldn't be that much of a problem frame/sheetrock as close as u can and buy a can of spray foam to seal it up.

@Confuten1 - you read my mind.. was going to just plaster all around it, but your idea sounds easier. :)

Yup fiberglass roll insulation is good, if u can afford a few extra bucks go with r13 vs the standard r11

The flower room will likely end up 21 X 18 with 11 foot ceilings.

My goal: quick turnaround on harvests. //perpetual grow as much as possible.. Could even have 1/2 the flower room harvesting each month so every month have a smaller/manageable harvest.

How should I setup plants and lighting?
Oh, before you ask.... budget for lighting is $3,000 and Veg room is already take care of.

They must have some big wall bangers in your neighborhood,to handle a room that size. Lots of luck on your endevor. The higher your r value the lower your heating and cooling bills. Seal everything as you go. your neighbors will appreciate it and you will sleep better. JK

@Jalisco Kid - hey there.. what is a wall banger? Thanks on the R Value, will insulate and seal this thing nicely, closest neighbor is a ways away.
Since we all like pictures, this is the view from my front and back of our property.
