Hi . It is week 7 in 12/12 . The plants are Super SIlver Haze X LSD and Shiva Shanti , both are from seed . They are both very resinous . Took some buds from SSH cross . In soil and fed with schultze plant food bloom plus and levelled with magnesium and baking soda . First pic is shiva other are SSHcross .

It seems that the SSH cross trichomes are 50/50 brown and almost ready so i think i will take it in few days and the Shanti got stunted in the beginning of flower so it came around a littlebit and needs a bit longer because its trichomes arent brown at all some first ones are starting to change colour and it has many side branches so the overall maturing lenghtens so yeah a week and some days ontop of it .

easi bro nice lookin plants, imo you cud take them at least another 10 days but thats me lol, i wait till the pistils brown off and retract back to the bud, ive hardly any amber trichs till week 8-9 but have never grown them strains, what smells have you got comin from the lovely ladies

I look the trichomes go brown also . The SSHcross smells a bit spycy and sweet at the same time, sativa high also , the shiva has more fruity smell and strong resin .

Did you cross the SSH and LSD yourself? I was considering trying both those strains, so I love that you've got them crossed. And those buds look awesome.

I thought baking soda added sodium or something and was not supposed to be used to balance PH? Yours seem to be doing fine using it.

Yeah i got the seeds from a friend who growed both the strains togehter and they mated so it a bit unknown but yeah its turning out pretty good , buds are dense .
Well yeah i had a bit acidic soil composition so i knew i had to balance it , it went pretty bad with shiva i though im gonna lose her but she recovered well .

are you talkin about pistils browning off or trichs turning amber, just looks like a long way to go but hard to see with the pics, have you had a look under a microscope to see what the trichs look like, soz for coming across like a dick jus sounds like your looking at the pistils not trichs when deciding to chop down, i try and take mine down when the trichs are like 20% clear 40% cloudy 40% amber

Yea thanks for bringing that out , i pretty much a novice and this trichomes or pistils colouration should be made clear . Ok ill take that into account . But i dont understand the percentages , could you make that more clear thank you .

No the acidic soil hurt the Shiva , and the soda and MG brought it back .

not a problem bro pistils are the white hairs that start turning brown towards the end of bloom, the trichs are the sugar that cover the buds and leaves, trichs start off clear and can be chopped while still clear but if you leave longer they change to cloudy then finally amber, i leave mine till there is a good mixture of clear/cloudy/amber trichs, if your looking for a motivating high chop down when the trichs are clear but if you want that couch lock feel wait till alot have turned amber then chop down, i prefer inbetween myself, hope this helps a lil bro
