from what I gather, they use the 3-chip diodes instead of a true 3 watt diode.. which is not as good.
Spuzz, user "dunit" has a thread based on using this light :
he states they use true 3 watt diodes.... does this change your opinion on the product ?? Would you get one ???
CREE LED’s are the highest quality LED in the industry but their price tag is astronomical. We use Bridgelux, a long-standing and high-quality manufacturer. In numerous tests we found Bridelux LED’s to provide results only slightly below their CREE counterparts. This same panel manufactured with CREE led’s would produce about 8% more output and cost about FOUR times as much. Here at 357MagLed.com we figure you’d be better off with two 357 Magnum LED Grow Lights (so about 85% more output) and a trip to the Amsterdam for what we would have to charge for a CREE panel.

I'm not accusing anyone of anything... But if you do a quick search on facebook for 357 led light, you'll see the group only has one memeber, and all of the photo's used in the facebook group are the same as user "dunit"'s photo's in his threads, he also has the same thread on other popular forums.... hmmm. Leaves me to beleive he's affiliated with the company somehow... doesn't make me feel too confident.
Thanks amigo. The panels are supposed to be released for sale pretty soon and I've got some tech info on them but been asked not to publish it yet and trying to stay on their good side to see if I can get a couple panels comped.
Yeah I've seem SG's stuff and it's impressive but the price is just too out of reach for most growers. They use CREE LED's and those things are wicked expensive so thats prob why. The panels I'm using now come from www.ledgrowlightsdirect.com and they use Bridgelux LED's which are great quality IMO but no where near the cost.
