4 strains - 1st grow, outside on balcony

I flushed the Sour D today - only water and molasses from now on. I'm gonna give the other girls another week or 2... especially the LSD, might as well get couchlock on something called LSD hehe... stoked to chop soon!

I tried taking cuts but they never took root.. I'm pretty bummed about it, but I guess lesson learned. I look at this as a bonus first crop and I'm going to be sure to get a baby or 3 from the next batch i put out. Especially since I now have to buy pretty much nothing except new soil for the next girls, it's a no-brainer.

flushing in the spare shower worked awesome... i bought a case of water bottles for the sour d (12 liters) , and was planning on doing the same for the other 3 ladies... BUT, I decided to do a test smoke with the LSD and was looking at the sugar leaves i trimmed off under the microscope when i found the dreaded SPIDER MITES and THRIPS wtf motherf'er noooOOOOOOOOOoooooo .... this was about 2 hours ago. I don't know if it's because I started watering with molasses that brought the bugs, or more probable is that I bought some regular plants at Home Depot and kept them maybe 10 - 15 feet away and I'm sure Home Depot plants are filled with things I don't want. Lesson learned.

So, anyway, now I'm just dragging the buckets in 1 by 1 and flushing the hell out of them with just regular shower water... I'm also (very carefully) giving the ladies a bath and using a high power stream to hit the underside of the fan leaves where the stupid fuckers are.

Also, through reading, I know understand why I need to clean these dirty clone bitches from the SoCal Dispensaries... cause clearly the genetics are here, but the quality control apparently wasn't. and yes, I know I could have easily brought the Powdery Mildew and bugs upon myself. Howerver, when I see multiple multiple multiple posts about the same dispensary I got mine from slamming them for these exact issues, I tend to think they are mostly to blame. I even remember the guy telling me he had to spray 2 of the ladies but since I'm growing outside "that won't matter to me"... taking advantage of the newb!!! lol

whatever, the smoke still looks pretty f'n good .... debating growing from seed next time or at the very least buying some ladies from another dispensary that i see good things about in Long Beach

If they're almost finished, don't worry too much about the bugs. They'll crawl off after you harvest (hang them upside down and watch what the mites do!).

choppy choppy today was my beloved LSD's last day alive... HALLELUJAH LET'S CELEBRATE HER LIFE!!!!! :sun2::rauch08::D:rauch08:
this was her yield, not a heckuva lot, but not shabby for my first plant, eh? I have no idea what the weight will be, i think maybe i'll pick up a scale just because I'm really curious. The plan is to dry these manicured buds for 3 or 4 or 5 days, and then put them in air tight jars in the closet for a few weeks and burping them appropriately. Hopefully I'll end up with a zone - doubtful tho! :anim_19:
I still have 3 more ladies - one I plan on chopping Friday, and then the other two on Monday maybe or the weekend.. It will be based on how much space I have to dry things. When it's stripped down, this LSD plant has maybe half the bud that the 2 big girls have. The Sour Diesel (minus its big cola RIP) will have about as much as this one has, maybe a little more.

I think I'm gonna jar up the LSD tomorrow and cure those bitches and then chop down the sour d tomorrow... the amount of crystals sparkling off the buds on the remaining 3 girls is unbelievable. sticky icky icky! :hello:
The LSD smells good, but lookswise doesn't really compare to the other 3.
Can't wait to get them dried and cured and smokeable dankkkkkkky!!

chopped the last 2 today, looking way better than the first 2! All 4 of them were definately trying to reveg, but I think the bigger buds just kept going and so I ended up with a kinda messy end product. some of it should dry beautifully, although i still probably didn't trim close enough, but that's probably from a fear of a small yield lol ... and it's all personal, so it'll work for me :afroweed:

here are the last 2 girls colas! the Jack Herer has the flower lighter and the Lemon Lavendar Haze has the white lighter. They both smell fantastic and potent! :banana:

I wish I hadn't ruined a couple branches trying to clone them, but oh well. I sure learned a lot, can't wait to get back to it! :rasta:

Since I have to work tomorrow and can't have fun tonight, I figured I might as well update this! They're all curing in jars (still need a little while, waiting for the smell I'm sure is gonna come from them....) but my grubby little hands keep going in there. Everything's going good, and hopefully with this job, I can make my bounty last throughout the summer! I can't promise that one tho :party

here's the entire stash. have no idea how much it is, but it's super light and puffed up in this pic because i just took them all out and put them back in, so it looks like more than it is. but i like it. gonna give you the girls in seperate posts to check out.

I actually have the plants of the Sour D, Jack Herer, and LemLav Haze still on the balcony. They're growing more, well... I dunno, something. Things are budding out, don't know if they're new branches or just leaves coming out. What happens if I leave them out for the rest of the summer?

The shitty thing is the Sour D fan leaves were riddled with bugs, so I'm still considering just tossing her... she's on the opposite side of the balcony from the other 2. I only left a little bit of lower vegetation on those 2, and no fan leaves, so I'm curious as to what's gonna happen with them.

I just put in an order to pick up 4 more girls at the end of July... Super Lemon Haze, OG Kush Banana, God Bud, and 1 more - I'm not sure which, but it's either DJ Flo's Blueberry or Tangerine Kush. The collective closed its membership, so I'm insanely glad I got in and am able to pick up these beautiful girls whenever!!!! Yay SoCal!!!
