Just going on what I've read and been told, I'm keeping mine around 78-80 lights on and then 68-70 off as it's a sativa that likes light and warmth. Been told by couple of other growers that I could easily bump it up few degrees more 80-82 and possibly get better growth rates. They're not bad, so haven't seen the need to spend more on electricity. I've also been told by several growers in the area to try and keep temp fluctuations of no more than 10 degrees. Really suffered some extreme fluctuations early on in my grow, so talked to as many growers around here as possible about their experiences.
On a side note; before I was able to control the temp on my grow (just moved it last few days) my temp changes were reversed; cooler lights on than off. Perhaps this explains the really tight internode length my plants are keeping. I am using LEDs and have been told that they usu. keep shorter lengths too.
thanks for all the help on this one guys. i got my microscope, and nowhere near ready to harvest. all trich's clear as glass on both sets of plants. also they needed another watering last night so i watered and fed them. i've been letting the tent stay cool under the premise of you harvest in the fall when it's cooler. any reason not to let it get in the 65 degree range? usually hovers around 68-70 lights on and dips to 65 at night and in the morning.
Your girls are looking pretty good. Just too many fan leaves still on the plants. I want to suggest with your next run to defoliate for better light penetration through the whole plant. This really helps the lower buds development resulting in a better yield.
As far as temps go you always want at least a ten degree departure in there day and night. For me to maintain proper temps using LED's I have an oil filled radiator in there area timed to be on with the lights on. My temps are ranging 75 to 85 degrees with lights on, and 60 to 70 degrees when off.
I thin all of my plants as needed but it is a process that starts early in bloom to minimize stress. I generally defoliate each plant three to four times as they finish to maintain good light through the plant. I think to little to late in this situation. One of my plants is ready for its first thinning. I'll take before and after shots of her this afternoon and share here.I'm typically reluctant to fuck with plants when they're well into flower

Just re-read the last two pages to get caught up, looks good so far.
One thing re: watering: I like to water my plants with about half of the water they're gonna get, wait twenty or thirty minutes, THEN water with the rest of the, uh, water. Then I wait about twenty minutes and drain the pot holder things. Can't remember why I do that exactly right now haha, but I think it has something to do with the water kind of following the roots if you do it all at once, thus creating dry zones in the soil. Whatever the exact reason is, it made sense when I read the "watering twice" thing years ago.[/QUOTE
Nice colors beautiful plants!Totally forgot to post the pics i took. a few leaves are looking rough, and the plant was thirsty and hungry, so not the healthiest looking at the moment.

so far not too terrible. lots of room for improvement, and regretting not cutting some clones and setting up a clone room. i will right after i plant the next crop of seeds.
Thanks! i'm going a little crazy in my second grow. trying to start a mom/clone room and hopefully soon a veg tent.Nice colors beautiful plants!
Nice harvest also!
Glad you finished journal.
