Howdy guys & gals. Curious how many of you will be attending the cup, but even more curious how many will be competing. No MMC affiliation required. However, when looking at competitor packs I noticed something kind of bullshit..pack pricing. I understand they have to cover cost for complimentary Grassroots hat, T-shirt, oil rig, etc, but you have to submit an ounce of wax, oil, shatter, solventless in addition to fees. Damn, take me for that much loot AND a zip of errrrl? Come on, bro!

Anyway, lots of music on the bill but Hieroglyphics is the only one coming to me right now. Also check out the Malah. They will be performing as well. These guys are friends from SC who live here in Denver now. Check em out!

Truth. Have to submit zip a week prior to be tested at lab of your choosing. Auto disqualification if there are any contaminants.

I feel you. I'm in my 30s now and remember doing knife hits or smoking off a safety pin and a pint glass. I had never even heard of honey oil till I went back to NL in 2005. With so many forms of extractions--and the subcategories of those methods (ie oil, budder, wax, shatter, etc), I say dabs opposed to smoking hash bc smoking hash these days is a lot note broader of a "subject" then it seemed to be 18 years ago. I just say dab to be specific to oil..not be a tweenie hipster :)

Seems to me it's about time to figure out one of those fabled Farmer "campouts" here in the Hills and incorporate some sort of friendly competition into the mix. And hey....I love hash (bubble)... but I agree with TK that flowers smoked in a fatty just tells the tale and speaks directly to the skill of the grower and the quality of the plant.

You got a good point there, sir. I do BHO (and the different forms that can be made based from this method) bc one I don't have a bag set-although I have made ice water extract and just strained, gravity, syphon..but you get a lot of trash in there. My other reason has escaped my mind at the moment, but when I recall it I'll quote you again. Anyway, I pluck the shit out of em at chop, do a loose cut straight onto the floor, and then only the super close trim and larfers (if diameter of cross section of flower < diameter of a 25¢=larf) get processed. Below is my Alien Grapevine #4 I just chopped, gifted to me via Aliens blessing (thank you Alien and Motiv). I just wanted to flash a lil porn.. Didn't want the masses thinking I fall into the category of "I blast tane bc my flowers suck ass" :D

Gotta disagree with that one. perhaps the case a year or more ago, but there is definitely demand for quality/top shelf oil in dank circles. With processes streamlined, vac purging a standard, and prices settled- there are def heads using flame to make oil. Shoot ive been using top shelf nugs for several years now- IMO it depends more so on the age group of the smokers...young cats- serious oil consumption over flowers and prefer it that way, older heads prefer flowers/doobs. When you make quality purged oil out of serious flowers/trim its a whole different story, and heads dig that shit just as much.

So damn a zip and $710 to enter? fools are tripping.

I do enjoy high quality wax/shatter, but this shit is stupid. I MIGHT consider going if they made it a rule you have to grow anything you enter, and they test and display whatever was extracted as well. I judge good hash by how similar it is to the original product. This "cup" just seems like a sham on so many levels
