I'm on the hand watering, got too many timers and cables already. I want to have some kind of excuse to spend some time with them lol

Got the 600w HPS in today. Pretty much just breaking in the equipment on these autos so I've decided to give them 10 hours of HPS and 14 hours of LED light per day. To be honest I'd rather not waste power on these plants, I'm gonna wait until I'm ready to do photo periods to give them the 12 hours HPS, but would still like to give the autos 24 hours. You can see the arrangement with the LED pointing diagonally at the plants. HPS hood is air cooled with a lumatek ballast. What do ya think?

Hood fan is on a timer to go off fifteen minutes after the light and on at the same time, with the LED turning on immediately after and turning off right before HPS.

Interesting video, thanks for the input. Not sure it applies here yet, when I threw up those pics it was their first time under the HPS and it had only been on for like five minutes. Video saved to bookmarks though

Geeking out over my new 3 in 1 hygrometer/thermometer/soil moisture thingy. Basically just a normal hygro/thermometer with a probe that you poke in the medium. Doubt I'll use the probe much tbh but nice to have and a bargain at £10
Edit: I will be using the probe as it turns out it's for measuring external temperature I.e. measuring at a distance so I can use the main part for the main tent and trail the probe into my mother tent

Grow is still going, ditched one of the autos as it just wasn't performing, which I put down to my mistakes. Budzilla and 8-ball kush mothers are doing well.
What I actually wanted to post today: in UK two guys broke into an old man's house, the old guy gets into a struggle with the pair and stabs one of the burglars to death. Now the old guy has been bailed pending a MURDER investigation. Fucking joke!!!

Ha, read on. Fucked one of the autos up. It was so far behind the other 2 I just ditched it. I wish I had never bothered with the autos actually. More trouble than they are worth in my opinion. But the mother plants are doing well, that's the important thing

Shame this auto fell so far behind and had to be kicked out, looks like a nice root structure. If not a little root bound though. I like how you can see the roots avoiding the areas where drainage holes were

Some random pics from the tents, the good, bad and the ugly. Bringing Epsom salt into the mix, plants in general seem to want magnesium from what I can gather. My base water is relatively hard: 0.6ec. It's my understanding that a large portion of hard tap water contains calcium, which in abundance can lock out magnesium. Gave them all a flush right after these pics were taken and re-fed with some added Epsom salts. Let's see if it helps.
