Definitely a healthy root system. Clean white ramen noodles.

I've got to have these finished max three weeks from now if possible, otherwise I've got a headache. It fell too far behind. Got the rental agency doing their 'three months after moving in inspection'. Thankfully they'll only be coming once a year after that. I'll trash the autos if I really had to, though I'm gonna try hard to avoid that. It is the mother plants in the small tent that I value, they are gonna have to get stashed somewhere no matter what, probably the back of my car while the agent does his thing :D

Some random pics from the tents, the good, bad and the ugly. Bringing Epsom salt into the mix, plants in general seem to want magnesium from what I can gather. My base water is relatively hard: 0.6ec. It's my understanding that a large portion of hard tap water contains calcium, which in abundance can lock out magnesium. Gave them all a flush right after these pics were taken and re-fed with some added Epsom salts. Let's see if it helps.View attachment 791076 View attachment 791078 View attachment 791079 View attachment 791081 View attachment 791084 View attachment 791086 View attachment 791087 View attachment 791088 View attachment 791089 View attachment 791090 View attachment 791091 View attachment 791092 View attachment 791093 View attachment 791094

Yeah, that will probably help. You would really benefit from an RO system bro. It’s difficult to get nute dosing right with hard water.

I wanted to take some time and actually try to help you out. Rather than just say “you need RO” and bounce. So I put together a little shopping list for you. Feel free to modify for your needs.

RO filter (I run a 105L flower and a 68L veg res, and this produces more water than I need.)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01M...+ro+system&dpPl=1&dpID=41WMui1PDfL&ref=plSrch

Resivor (You can use anything like this. I tried to find you one that is local for you. You could probably find a better deal. It took me a bit to find this one. I was searching the site for a “Garbage or Trash can” and nothing was coming up in the results. Then I learned you call them “Bins / Big wheelie bins” on the other side of the pond. Popped right up.

Y splitter for the water supply.

Float valve. Not a necessity, but makes life easier for so little money. Turns the water flow on and off automatically. So you don’t forget to turn it off and it floods, or forget to turn it on and it’s almost empty when you need it. If you change the filter, make sure it has the cut off block. Otherwise there is a float that has the block included for a few bucks more. If you don’t have the shut off block, the valve will close the product water off, but everything will continue to run out the drain tube.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007...loat+valve&dpPl=1&dpID=21IEvJlhdgL&ref=plSrch

And if you really want to get high speed, a small transfer pump, on/off switch and some hose.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01E...0+gph+pump&dpPl=1&dpID=419ctYNFTYL&ref=plSrch

Something like this but for your outlets.

Cheap hose

That should get you up and running. If you get everything on the list it’s basically set it up and forget it, with RO water on demand.

Hey man. Sorry I forgot to come back to this, hope you didn't think I was being an asshole, you know how it is when you're smoked up. Thanks for taking the time to put this all together for me, I genuinely do appreciate that. This is great! I'm gonna translate it all to £££ and see about when I can get to building this bad boy! Gotta be a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a factory built unit, that's for sure.

So I'm guessing that you started using RO water, suddenly your game changed, right? :D

You're not the first person to tell me to use RO, but sadly you're the first I've paid attention to. Now I've moved and the water quality is shit I'm seeing where everyone's coming from.

Oh, and something tells me that not much calcium is making up that 0.6, I think I'm experiencing my first ever calcium deficiency yaaaay :D lots of little brown dots on the fan and sugar (newest) leaves at the top of the plant. It's my understanding that calcium is an immobile element, so that's why I'm not seeing it at the bottom, only the top, cos the top leaves can't pull nutes from the lower leaves. Wow, I get this weird feeling that I may have actually diagnosed a problem correctly :D luckily I've got some CaMg.

Your good bro. I didn’t think anything of it. Yes, I’m very happy with my RO system. Makes dosing nutes so much more consistent. You’ll be happy you got one.

Ok been lazy with the updates so here goes.

Deficiency in the autos is solved. Was calcium deficiency. Gave it some supplements and all new growth is perfectly healthy. Had same problem across the board with all plants which makes me think the water in my new place is low in calcium. That's a clipper lighter btw being used for size perspective, colas fattening nicely

8 Ball Kush (left) and Budzilla doing well. Keeping the light close and fimmed both, is keeping them squat like planned, Budzilla seems prone to natural bushiness. Took 5 cuttings from Budzilla yesterday

Clones went into my new custom cloning cupboard. Basically a cheap wardrobe. Gonna use a jigsaw to cut some holes out the back for intake/extraction and get a fan and filter in there, then seal all the inside corners with sealant. Nothing much more than that, only for cuttings and young veg plants. Will veg them in the big boy tent for couple weeks after that under the 600w LED. Then HPS :)

And this gets the award for best £14 I ever spent :D makes life much easier on my back :)

Anyone who remembers the Budzilla I grew last run will recall how short she stayed. She was a branch monster! I topped her and tied down, but seemed pretty bushy to begin with. I'm looking to do the same for this mother, can you imagine how many cuttings I could get?

I'm considering doing something similar like what I did with the autos earlier in the run; pull the pots apart and drop the CFL right down so it's lighting the sides of the plant. Really got some great side branching doing this, being autos I wanted to do something without topping or bending them right down horizontal like I enjoy doing with photos. I think I could replicate this on the mothers. My reason for this? Lack of horizontal space in mother tent, reasonable vertical space. Imagine a wall of growth tips pointing horizontally at the light. Just give her light one side and train her up the side of the tent, and grow around the inside corner and continue all round the tent walls. It's a mother, gonna be around a while, might as well have some fun :)

Or I might just drop the idea after thinking with a clear head, this weeds alright :D

Everything's slowed down a little since I've got an inspection on the place Saturday, however as soon as they fuck off, I can fully let rip and start popping my updated seed stock. I now have the following:-

1no K.O KUSH FEM
1no FIVE-O FEM
3no SUGAR BLACK ROSE FEM (F1)
1no PURE KUSH FEM
1no GREEN NINJA FEM
1no PINEAPPLE GUM FEM
1no PEPPERJACK HAZE FEM
2no ELEVEN ROSES
5no DEEP MANDARIN CBD FEM
5no DIAMOND AUTO
3no CHERRY GRAPEFRUIT FEM
2no CRITICAL FEM
5no JACK HERER FEM
5no INDIAN KUSH FEM
5no SPECIAL KUSH NO.1 FEM
5no TORPEDO FEM
5no WHITE THUNDER FEM

Will likely do the 5's as a uni-run and mix up the 1's, 2's and 3's together and aim to harvest hopefully around 6 plants every 3 or so weeks give or take.

I'm about to harvest the two NL #5 autos. They're definitely not ready but to hell with it, I've run out of time because of the Saturday rental agency inspection BS and I need to start getting my shit on lock. My pocket microscope tells me the trichs are mostly milky/translucent so I'm hoping I'll get a head high of some sort from it. We'll see, will throw up a couple of mini harvest pics :D
