5 gallon pots for coco is a bit large is it not? You can pull 2-3# off something like that unless treated as soil.

5gl not really much advantage other than you wont have to water multiple times per day. Wich is debatable all on to itself because multiple feedings may equate to more vigorous growth. I personally couldn't risk having an automated system, so i was hand watering with a wand and submersible pump in a 50 gl rez, vacuuming the runoff from the saucers and throwing it out. There were four 1k watt lamps in each room a 28,000 btu A/C and 70 pint dehumidifier. Watering was necessary every other day. In situations where there are multiple 1k watt lamps or DE lamps or co2 burners smaller pots may dry out too fast and not work out unless watering is fully automated.
