I'd let them veg a little longer but if they do stretch double, I'll be out of the range of distance from the light. At least what the manufacturer recommends...

Oh, one more thing. I've been lightly and selectively defoliating every other day. The smaller one just doesn't like it, but it seems I can anything to the one in the right.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm planning on taking more off and most of what's covering tops that seem to be working their way up to the canopy. I'll also be removing pretty much everything on the bottom third, as recommended.

Still not sure if I should veg out more, but I'll know the answer to that in about 60 days :)

This is so much fun

Ok just another little update. I think I'm flipping the lights by Saturday. I'm pretty confident that I'm out of theWoods with my original post. Been LSTing like crazy with some selective leaf removal and much more sparingly on the one on the right as she doesn't like it one bit. I think it's going to fill in nicely and the only reason I'm going to scrog is out of fear of stretch and I'm thinking it will be useful to tuck to not get too close to the light. However, I've read a bunch of places I can get as close to 5 inches, but the manufacturer suggests a further distance. So we'll see. It's a learning experience....

It's remarkable how far they've come along since I posted this thread. Hell, it's been three weeks! Part of me wants to veg out more, but not sure if that's the right thing to do.

I'm up to only 700ppms of Canna A&B. I ditched the RO and using tap, albeit I do cut it with RO to get it down the 130ppms before adding nutes. I haven't added any Calmag the last 3 days and she seems to be ok with it. When the light is off, they're a lush green and look delish.

This little accidental grow just might turn out to be something, but I should have gotten a bigger tent.

I'm so excited to flip to flower, but I'm trying to exercise some patience.

Looks like they're about ready to me but what the hell do I know other than reading people's posts on this board and looking at pictures.

Thursday day off is the best. I can obsess further and enjoy a few double IPA's. 🤪

Still waiting for larger saucers

FYI I cut 5-gallon Home Depot bucksts down to 4" deep, and use them for saucers (see attached photos).

I mark about 4-1/4" from the bottom, all the way around the outside. I use painters tape to connect those marks, and have a visual straight edge. Then I hacksaw around the edge of the tape.

I sometimes have 20% runoff. Those shallow saucers don't work for me. (I use a wet-dry vac to suck the water out. It sounds like you do that.).

Dammit! Where were you three days ago! Haha...

The saucers got here today and as a result of your suggestion, I paid way too much! Great idea.n

Nice job so far. Have you seen any indication of their gender yet?

They're feminized seeds, but now my OCD kicked in after that thought. I've read that they aren't always 100%. After some running around, I'm going have to confirm somehow, although I'm fairly confident they're girls.

They better be. I already named them!

If they're feminized, you should be good. I wouldn't OCD about too much, especially if you’ve already given them feminine names! 😂😂😂

Do you know how to tell? Where to look?

It's not 100% conclusive yet, from these pics. But, trust me, when you see it, you will know.

The big "hair-like" things on the sides of the stem at each leaf node are called stipules; the sex indications usually look like they come out from behind the stipule.

I can just kick myself! It sucks having bad eyesight. I went to clean up some underneath and I clipped one that I know would have been a really nice flower. In fact, it was one I actually tied down over a week ago. Damnit! There's still what looks like 16 or so tops on that one, but that was a good one. Getting old freaking blows.

Oh, I am 1000% confident they are both girls.

I'll post more pics after we both recover after this Abuse.

Well, at least my compost pile is feeling pretty good.

Looking happy this morning and it seems like the lollipoping had no adverse effect.
