Surely you can’t bend over 90 degrees! If you bent 180 degrees your plant would be sticking straight out the bottom of your pot!?

Ahh that makes sense I thought you had to bend it right over basically about an inch above the soil!🙃 wish I had just done that, like I said it’s first grow mine ended up looking like this when I first did it View attachment 1148641
You can just pinch a branch to make it bendable and bend them over it makes a knot on the branch thicker and stronger than the rest of the stalk. I'll take the top foot to 18 inches pinch the stalks hard moving back and forth until its pliable enough to bend over 90+ degrees without snapping, if it snaps sm piece of duct tape and shes good to go. This flattens my canopy and I can bend my multiple tops over in any direction to fill in gaps or spaces. I'll normally top 4-5-6 times depending on how long I veg for ( usually 2.5 months ).So I have lots of branches to bend over.....All this in a perfect world....its not always perfect.

So do I just cut away the part I've highlighted ? The other is a picture of the full plant

I’d snip right here, above the straight part, so you leave a centimeter or two of the straight part.

There's almost no room for error when it comes to topping. Theres lots of ways but they all ultimately work. No need to be worried, as long as they're healthy they always bounce back in a few days!
