I’m on my first ever grow in a cococoir perlite mix, everything is going okay but today I noticed some very small bits of algae growing on the top layer of coco and apparently it is caused by overwatering, I know it’s not a massive problem right now but I was under the assumption that coco needs daily waterings ? Should i just carry on my watering as normal as my plants seem to be doing fine and treat the algae with hydrogen peroxide, or should I just make my waters every 2-3 days instead of daily. Any advice appreciated

I use Coco and perlite mix and I only water every 2-3 days never had a problem so far, you only need to keep it moist. My last grow I was watering everyday and had the same problem you have now, I'd definitely cut back on the watering everyday.

Take spoon and mix the algae into the soil. It does nothing but maybe indicate too much water, like Mike was saying.
