Haha, next time Genghis Don! Great Idea!Glue some construction paper eye lashes to the eyes for a more feminine look.
Thanks Lead, I had never seen it before until a friend showed it to me a couple weeks back. . . went hunting for googly eyes straight away!Excellent job. I love that skit! ROFL.
Hey Soser, no worries about the question, sorry for not having time to get back to you sooner, I have been super busy. I have been thinking about your question and believe the answer is that your super soil is generating new nitrogen because of soil micro life and so even after you flush, there is still nitrogen present in the soil. BUT, I think the other part of the answer may just be that you had not flushed enough. My plants were in 7 gallon pots and I was watering roughly 3 gallons of RO a day in between larger flush waterings that were around 6-7 gals every few days for the last week(s). And lastly, some strains just don't lose their green, like my WiFi, just never wants to look bad so she stays green till the very end! Congrats on the harvest!Cool idea meeks and i lied got another question bro.... hope you don't mind but i get a feeling you don't , but i flushed my arc in a 5 gal bucket on day 47 with 6 gals of water and clearex and then again on day 54 with 10 gals of water two of them with clearex and i'm on day 58 and my temp swings have been 10-15 degree's at night , and none of my leaves are using up all the nitro and turning yellow yet, now i did plant these with a super soil blend , that i made but what's your thoughts bro.... answer when your rested bro, no rush , killer pictures as always ......regards SoSer..........ps its day 58 starting and looking like at least 63 days alot of cloudy tric's but no amber yet or fade and i'm going to be patient with this one as i have smoke now.....,
Glad I could lighten your mood, I went back and looked at those photos so many times and just laughed thinking about Christopher Walken in my garden looking at my plants and doing that skit! You made my day, Meeks... I know it's all about the eye contact, but it's not hard to get into a staring contest with those beauties. Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks Kush, the ladies are all chopped, trimmed, and some are already dry enough to sample :Dvery funny bro! but there lookn bueno!!!!
Ken, I more than appreciate your considerate post! It means a lot to hear from people that they are reading the log, not just scrolling through pictures! I put a good amount of my time into the log and so I like to hope people are taking something away from it, the same way that I was able to learn most of what I know relating to this particular plant from other even more experienced growers who share just like me! I am very proud of this grow and the results I am achieving in the room I designed and built, but I am still humbled by the wave of positive posts your post here has seemingly triggered! Thanks for checking everything out!Ur crackin me up there Meeks hahaha. The eye balls take the cake!! Thanks a bunch Lady Goods! Honestly I doubt I would post all this stuff if there was no one asking great questions and/or cheering me on with positive vibes for the girls, so I have to thank you and everyone else who posts in my thread (and in general here on The Farm) for making this community what it is so that sharing feels worthwhile! You nailed it on the head kendog.
Appreciate you Meeks. Allowing me to use you as my marijuana information desk, and all.:p lol...Sending you to threads... directing people your way and a great grow & bangin' thread to boot. Just wanted you to know I'm grateful.
Haha, I still crack up when I think about putting the googly eyes on the buds, when I was looking for good spots to put the eyes and all of a sudden there was a window into their face ;). Having an empty and clean room feels really nice right now with all my school stuff getting crazy before the holiday break, I hope to do some transplanting tomorrow or Friday and I should have some pictures of the new girls when that happens! I am planning on going home to family shortly after Finals are done in December, but as I am sure many growers know, I can't be gone for long with plants waiting for me back in California. Thanks for the kind words Keystoner!lmfao at the googly eyes thing.. never saw that skit before hahahaha thats good shit Meeks! I dont even know what to say about everything else, you got me speechless haha. Unbelievable work man, your passion for the hobby truly shows in your plants. Enjoy the harvest brother, well deserved! PS hope you make it back to see the family for the holidays, but if not it looks like you'll be able to keep yourself occupied somehow ;)
Well thanks again Ken! I hope all is well with you and yours!I think ive used this line before bro, but props given where props due
Ken
Thanks Mitch, they smell fantastic and are frosty as hell too! I haven't put anything to the scale yet other than a couple lower buds that I grabbed for tasting and the density does seem a bit lower, but not by much, and I had absolute rocks before so they are still very nice looking buds! I am not sure if that has to do with genetics or nutrients, because my keepers from OGR turned out with the density I have come to expect from each of them, it is just Alien's gear that has surprised me with how much weight it lost during drying. I personally think it is a combination of things, starting with this not being a perfect run so density can always improve, secondly I was a bit high on the Nitrogen IMO so that could have reduced density, thirdly I have a few seed per individual bud and therefore many many seeds per cola throughout the whole garden so that could have reduced density with all the energy going to the seeds. . . . . . . overall I think I have just made it sound pretty bad and that is not the case at all, I can't wait to take pictures and show you all how beautiful these buds are! That will hopefully happen this weekend!Lmao off meeks soo funny......walken has got some hilarious snl skits....plants look fantastic as usual....how is the yiled compared to the H a G nutes??
Thanks ProdigyGrower, I was just talking to my vintner friend today about giving him some samples to review, he is coming by Wednesday to grab them but in the past he has taken a few weeks to get back to me with the smoke reports so don't hold your breath while you wait! I am stoked to do a few of these plants as clones also. . . too bad a couple of my best yielding LADs were herms, I still have some incredible new keepers in my stable, only to be sorted through after the smoke report comes in. I am really looking forward to the Alien Grapevine also, I have 6 under a 1000w HPS right now, getting ready for flip in a week or two! Pictures of that will be coming soon. I hope all is well with you PG, thanks for stopping by!Great job big dawg you killed it I ca't wait for the smoke report and the clone run of these because the clone run should be even better if thats possible, Keep killin it bro I'm deff looking forward to the alien Gv. I want the alien gV soooo bad I wish those would be made again she is a amazing strain for sure.
Haha, another rare sighting of the Pure-White Grenades! I can't wait for the moment right after the macro shoot, when I get to put that albino bud into a bowl and taste it!!Albino nug sighting!! ;) Can't wait for it's macro shoot!
Hang in there as school wraps up! Happy Thanksgiving as well!
Sup Rival, glad you could stop by! A couple growers have really gotten me pumped up about these White Fire Aliens, and of course I was willing to pay a pretty penny for the Alien Grapevine so I am hoping for something extremely special out of those girls!Yo Meeks! I def can't wait to see the next grow. I think that bud is light bleached, bro. I had a nug do that a few grows ago. Got a lil 2 close 2 da light. That dry nug is hella frosty. Have a great Thansgiving, bro.
Macro shots coming right after this post! Thanks for the support Rival! That's cool. I have only seen 1 other plant that was half green and half white. That shit is crazy. Now that I think about it, I remember seeing that pic ur mentioning. I can't wait to see the Macro shots of that bud. Keep on rockin', NMEEKS.
Haha, I am really hoping I start seeing other growers online posting pictures of googly eye plants!Googly eyes are about to become a permanent fixture in my garden....
Next level shit! Nice! I honestly think it could be a few page spread in a cannabis related magazine to have a bunch of fat sticky nugs in different outfits taken with your photo skills Don!And some arms that can be posed. Every plant can be a different character if you fashioned some clothes around the branches.
Mine are going to have mini skirts and purses like the Vegas call-girls. Nasty, stanky bitches.
Thanks Kush! I just handed off the samples to my taste reviewer, he is going to hold onto them for a little while in his own jars to let it cure up for a couple more weeks, but he is excited to give each one a try!I can't wait for the smoke report, they all look stellar mang...
