Cool idea meeks and i lied got another question bro.... hope you don't mind but i get a feeling you don't , but i flushed my arc in a 5 gal bucket on day 47 with 6 gals of water and clearex and then again on day 54 with 10 gals of water two of them with clearex and i'm on day 58 and my temp swings have been 10-15 degree's at night , and none of my leaves are using up all the nitro and turning yellow yet, now i did plant these with a super soil blend , that i made but what's your thoughts bro.... answer when your rested bro, no rush , killer pictures as always ......regards SoSer..........ps its day 58 starting and looking like at least 63 days alot of cloudy tric's but no amber yet or fade and i'm going to be patient with this one as i have smoke now.....,
Hey Soser, no worries about the question, sorry for not having time to get back to you sooner, I have been super busy. I have been thinking about your question and believe the answer is that your super soil is generating new nitrogen because of soil micro life and so even after you flush, there is still nitrogen present in the soil. BUT, I think the other part of the answer may just be that you had not flushed enough. My plants were in 7 gallon pots and I was watering roughly 3 gallons of RO a day in between larger flush waterings that were around 6-7 gals every few days for the last week(s). And lastly, some strains just don't lose their green, like my WiFi, just never wants to look bad so she stays green till the very end! Congrats on the harvest!

Ken, I more than appreciate your considerate post! It means a lot to hear from people that they are reading the log, not just scrolling through pictures! I put a good amount of my time into the log and so I like to hope people are taking something away from it, the same way that I was able to learn most of what I know relating to this particular plant from other even more experienced growers who share just like me! I am very proud of this grow and the results I am achieving in the room I designed and built, but I am still humbled by the wave of positive posts your post here has seemingly triggered! Thanks for checking everything out!

Thanks a bunch Lady Goods! Honestly I doubt I would post all this stuff if there was no one asking great questions and/or cheering me on with positive vibes for the girls, so I have to thank you and everyone else who posts in my thread (and in general here on The Farm) for making this community what it is so that sharing feels worthwhile!

Haha, I still crack up when I think about putting the googly eyes on the buds, when I was looking for good spots to put the eyes and all of a sudden there was a window into their face ;). Having an empty and clean room feels really nice right now with all my school stuff getting crazy before the holiday break, I hope to do some transplanting tomorrow or Friday and I should have some pictures of the new girls when that happens! I am planning on going home to family shortly after Finals are done in December, but as I am sure many growers know, I can't be gone for long with plants waiting for me back in California. Thanks for the kind words Keystoner!

Thanks Mitch, they smell fantastic and are frosty as hell too! I haven't put anything to the scale yet other than a couple lower buds that I grabbed for tasting and the density does seem a bit lower, but not by much, and I had absolute rocks before so they are still very nice looking buds! I am not sure if that has to do with genetics or nutrients, because my keepers from OGR turned out with the density I have come to expect from each of them, it is just Alien's gear that has surprised me with how much weight it lost during drying. I personally think it is a combination of things, starting with this not being a perfect run so density can always improve, secondly I was a bit high on the Nitrogen IMO so that could have reduced density, thirdly I have a few seed per individual bud and therefore many many seeds per cola throughout the whole garden so that could have reduced density with all the energy going to the seeds. . . . . . . overall I think I have just made it sound pretty bad and that is not the case at all, I can't wait to take pictures and show you all how beautiful these buds are! That will hopefully happen this weekend!

Thanks ProdigyGrower, I was just talking to my vintner friend today about giving him some samples to review, he is coming by Wednesday to grab them but in the past he has taken a few weeks to get back to me with the smoke reports so don't hold your breath while you wait! I am stoked to do a few of these plants as clones also. . . too bad a couple of my best yielding LADs were herms, I still have some incredible new keepers in my stable, only to be sorted through after the smoke report comes in. I am really looking forward to the Alien Grapevine also, I have 6 under a 1000w HPS right now, getting ready for flip in a week or two! Pictures of that will be coming soon. I hope all is well with you PG, thanks for stopping by!

Hey Farmers, sorry for the lack of updates recently, I will try to get back into more frequent updates as my school stuff gets wrapped up in the next few weeks and the new ladies get into the exciting part of the log, flowering! I have barely been photographing these seedlings because of how busy I have been with classes and harvesting, but I have been taking care of them enough to keep them alive and they were transplanted into 7 gallon pots the day before yesterday and moved under my two brand new 1000w Ushio HPS! New bulbs and new strains in a clean grow room makes me a happy farmer :D I hope to grab some photos of the veg'ing girls sometime over the Thanksgiving holiday, at the same time I will do a nug porn photo shoot of the LADs and AGRs so that you can all enjoy what I have been enjoying!

For now, I have a couple random photos that I never got a chance to upload but I still wanted to share.

The first two are of the albino bud right after being trimmed! I have the bud dried now and in a jar next to me, I will definitely be taking some macros of it when I do the photo shoot!

Next I have a teaser shot of what you can be expecting in better quality from the photo shoot, I don't even remember what plant/strain this nug was from, I just took a quick picture of it a week ago before smoking it and didn't make a note of which bag I took it out of. Needless to say, it has a great high :p

(thinking it's Alien Grenades)

And lastly, a photo I took a few days ago, moments before transplant, as you can see I cut it down to the wire with timing for getting these girls moved into a more spacious environment! There are actually 13 plants in this photo!

I hope everyone is doing well, and an early Happy Holidays to you all incase this is the last post you read before Turkey Day and Seasonal Celebrations of any kind!

Haha, another rare sighting of the Pure-White Grenades! I can't wait for the moment right after the macro shoot, when I get to put that albino bud into a bowl and taste it!!

There is harvest at the greenhouse I work in today for some lettuce and cucumbers that I planted earlier in the fall. I am charging my camera battery right now so hopefully I can get a break during harvest to take some pictures to share! Thanks for the positive support as always Goods!

Sup Rival, glad you could stop by! A couple growers have really gotten me pumped up about these White Fire Aliens, and of course I was willing to pay a pretty penny for the Alien Grapevine so I am hoping for something extremely special out of those girls!

The nug is certainly not light bleached, I know it may look that way and I have seen other growers share pictures of what you are referring to, but if you check through the whole log you will see that I have been sharing pictures of this albino mutation throughout the flowering cycle and the growth started as a single half green half white leaf, and the albino bud grew from that node! It was also about 3/5 of the way down from the top of the cola, so no where close to the light and all the buds above and below it grew a normal green color!

And some arms that can be posed. Every plant can be a different character if you fashioned some clothes around the branches.

Thanks Kush! I just handed off the samples to my taste reviewer, he is going to hold onto them for a little while in his own jars to let it cure up for a couple more weeks, but he is excited to give each one a try!

Good evening farmers! I hope everyone is enjoying their time off from work, school, or whatever for Thanksgiving. I had a great time today using my friends higher quality Canon camera to take an excess of nug pictures! I still really want to invest in a camera of my own with a macro lens more ideal for the range/size objects I am shooting, but I am still very happy with how these photos came out today. I wanted to get them uploaded before Danksgiving to get everyone salivating!

I know I never made it clear which plant was which number in my labels (e.g. LAD #4), but don't worry, I have kept it straight and I do know which plants produced which nugs in these photos, but I will save that for when the smoke report comes in, so that this post doesn't look identical to that one. For now, I will only mention if the nugs were from LAD or AGR, and the weight of the nug in the photo.
