All this stuff recently about terpenes and volatiles and synergistic effects, even from mangos, well it's all pretty hard to keep up with. The med scene seems to be racing ahead with the sciencey stuff. I used to think old weed didn't have the same effect as when it was fresh because of the build up of CBN, but now it seems all these terpenes vaping off and oxidizing and all can effect the actual type of high you get too. I must say fresh nugz give me the best buzz and enjoyment. I've smoked under ripe weed only a few weeks in and it was a wonderful high. Could this be attributed to different volatile ratios at different stages of growth?
Well I'm going to try something I've never done during my next grow.
I'm going to harvest a few buds at each week after 4, dry them and freeze them. Then when I have several buds from week 4 - 9 I'm going to grind them all up together so they are consistent and see if getting the entire entourage of terpenes in one smoke will give me a new experience.
