Got some plywood. Made a top table, which will have some lights underneath it for function and fun! Also a press table/work space. I think the 3/4” plywood should be thick enough to take the load/ foot print of the dulytek press plate setup. I can use a plate if I need to. It’s not done as per everything I do lol but will get finished soon! Also picked some little containers for “moistening” (pro JJ tip) as im over the time frame for “fresh bud” IMO. So whenever I am able to get the press plates ill be ready to hydrate!

Was finally able to get the finishing touches done on the press so damn stoked! : ) can’t wait for this current run to finish up!

Do you have heaters in those plates?
And do you have a pre press or will you just put it in bags? I usually compress the buds in tiny 20g cakes that fit perfectly in mine

Yes plates are heated. Not pictured (not sure why) is the controller for temp.

For now I was going to just compress the herb the best I can into the bag. There is going to be some playing around with it for sure.

What micron bags do you use? I’m looking for yield at this point, refinement will come at some point

i still havent found any well i didnt even look.but i would love to try some.for now i am just prepressing and pressing.for now they stay in one peace but compared to other guys bags mine takes a lot of space soo probably not getting the highest tonnage

160 micron (bigger # bigger the hole in the bag)

so I have to ask, is there anything below the wood? Seems like it would just raise itself up .

I know I thought about going to the store and buying a “top shelf” 8th to play around with. But I’ll wait for mine to finish. Few weeks in counting. Possibly longer on a couple of them.

First press! No bag, pre mashed with my fingers.

200*f for about 45 seconds. Added some flat bar under the bottom plate because the wood I used is a little soft. No biggie. I’ll try another smash a little later and use some different stuff. I want to see how the rock hard dsg m86’ does.

Still not a fan of the return % of pressing but my goodness is the dab at the end worth it. This press I’m sure could have been better but I’ll take it for now. I think bags will increase the yield, along with a proper pre press.

Pic is after a few dabs picked off that tool, and there is a nice little glob on the back of it as well. Not horrible.

Will update after next press!
