Another question for you guys…I did go back and read the whole thread…prob grab some 120 for flower and maybe something around 40 for pressing bubble or dry sift…hoping this works…and for my question, if my plates are 2.5 x 4.5 , should I get some 2x4 bags or get as close to the same size of the plates as possible? Seems like leaving a little space would be good.

I’d go 2x4 bags, do you plan on using a pre press mold?

2x4.5, you’ll fold the long end over so this is your bag
I bought a mold, they make nice paper weights. I’d look into a funnel and plunger for filling. Spray bottle and dowel rod, haven’t found a easier way yet

I dont use those bags but i allsoo have a prepress i just stand on it.makes 20g fit perfectly on my heated plates

I’m gonna grab one since I’ve got the cash at the moment…my press came yesterday but I didn’t open it yet, not sure if it came with anything, but I’ll check it out tonight.

I’m excited for you Cant wait to see what you end up with I’m still trial and figuring the best for me but it’s fun to see the stuff just ooze out

Thanks man I bet! I got some messing around to do as well…but I’m gonna get to it soon, I’ve got a couple of autos that I harvested mid June that are gettin squished first! I’ll definitely post about it.

Never tried auto’s but photo plants can have a huge range in regards to yield. If you don’t get a big yield try it again on a different strain. Personally had strains run 8 - 19% returns. Those 8%’ers don’t get planted twice!

I’m still chasing the 30% I pulled off some hashburger from the dispensary.
Would definitely like to get a cut of that to keep forever.. lol

When I get some time I’m gonna press the gelato I chopped last week, fingers crossed she oozes

Everybody pressing made me want as well soo put 10g of white in 150sec at 97c
Tried to scrape it all but it's too hot still gonna leave it overnight to harden a little bit but soo far I have 0.75g and there is lots still there.

Allso decided to cut the little plate and press again I have to say a lot came again soon yes I am missing a bag to make it smaller(put it on a small paper soo some ended up on the plate :()

Cut the diesel dryied it around 230g pressed allnost all og it and somehow i got the left side going faster than the right and machine broke.i pressed soo hard i madd motches in the rods -_- i hope its fixable maybe file it a little bit soo it doesnt get stuck in them.

Day after that purple got a few moldy tops and i found one banana. But today all the pistils are red soo good time to cut.

It was a pleasure to trim the diesel not soo much with reveged purple soo many tiny leafa to cut.

The root zone it was crazy small on diesel especially since it had double zhe veg that purple had.purples root where at least 50% bigger

As for smoking if i put a full bowl as usual first it smokes a lot longer, taste is as any other weed didnt notice anything too different but the high is strong.me personally i should use half a bowl before i get used to it.its really strong. Still didnt try the purple.

Smoked popcorn buds from both and those where strong paranoia but i loved purples much more.

First day the fridge was full you couldnt put anything in ot second day the last photo is how much water left it was half empty. Drying was kind of bad we got a heat wave it was almost 40 outside and in the fridge it was 23-25c and 80% first few days took maybe 3 days to go under 70%

Sounds like you’ve put some thought into pressing. Last bit of advice I can offer, keep a small spray bottle of isopropyl alcohol handy.

I need 10 grams for my gummies so I’ve been pressing 60 grams of the different flowers coming through. Said it many times Lemon Tree x Okie is in my top 2, now probably #1 after dropping 12.5 grams or a 20% return.

What do you do with your rosin? I’m just thinking no bags probably a lot of plant matter in the rosin so I’m curious if you’re dabbing it or how it’s going down?

My favorite thing about flower rosin is how “true” the end product smells and tastes

Tastes more like the bud then smells than any other way to consume imo

Have you had some string that yielded well but the rosin is just a pain to work with?
