Hey this is my first thread as I am new to the website!

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to manipulate or lower the amount of Ammonium/Urea in a granular fertilizer, "before" adding it into the soil?

If not, is there a way to manipulate it once they are in my soil?

You sure can, anytime you want the strength of a fertilizer to be "diluted" - simply blend with a filler agent. So for instance, you have a NPK of 46-0-0, such as urea, and you want it closer to 25-0-0. You have 2 choices, use ammonium sulfate, it's a 21-0-0, or blend it half and half with a 0-0-0, like silica, sand, or glacial rock dust, and apply as normal using a spreader, using a granular spreader.

The filler product takes up more surface area during application and causes less urea to be dispersed, it's not actually changing the Urea, it's only allowing less to be applied so the effect of a 25-0-0 is what you get. hope that makes sense.
