Lady is getting along just fine. No root from the bottom yet.

i don't think the other is going to pop. I'll keep it warm, etc. but it isn't looking good.

Root Riot plugs are due in next week. I 'll probably drop 3 more beans then.

Bummer ☹

The survivor is looking good. Leaves are drooping cuz i think they need to be fed. I have good root development. With the roots coming out so high up, i decided to transplant to the six inch pot tonight. Using the same rez and upped the CNS-17 by 140 ppm (30 mil added).

I turned off the big light to give the gal a breather after the move. I will turn it back on in the morning when i get up.

They'll be up in no time.

First one is up! 🤗 Question: Do i need to 5 mil more water anytime before i see roots through the side? If so, approx how many days after i uncover. I plan on letting it stay covered until it is standing (there is still condensation forming on the inside of the glass, so there is still water available. i will put it under a large measuring cup to give it weak, diffused light, but keeping the fans from direct contact for right now.

btw that was three days (Monday evening - Thursday evening) from a dry bean to a sprout. No pre-soak. 🤞🍻

I'm a happy camper! ... farmer...

I'd pull that dome off now. This is a critical stage where you dont want condensation or super high humidity in a dome. A retalively humid and warm environment is fine, 75-80F and around 60RH. I personally never use any sort of dome for seedlings, only for clones.

And dont give them any more water until the rooting plug looks like it's getting a little dry, it will turn a lighter brown and be somewhat obvious that its getting dry.

Second one is up! 😎 🍻

Also added a top water ring to encourage growth into 6 in net pot. Set on time to run 15 min (minimum setting) every 120 minutes (2 hours between cycles). Is that too often?

It also looks like increasing the nutes was a good idea. The leaves are quite perky and the color is good. To my eye anyway.

Thanks in advance.

Be very careful with RRs. If they are too close to the bubbling water/nutes, they will stay wet and cause root rot. I compensated for this by double netpotting, with ~ 1/2" of stones/marbles/hydroton in between

Was already planning to double pot. I will add another layer of stones to what i already have below.

Thanks for the heads-up 🍻

I don't mean to barge in....I've noticed you was still having a with seedlings starting....glad to see you changed from the rw..you was keeping to wet as before....you are also letting you tap root dry out under the the rw and plugs..as you have then setting flat on plastic or glass bowls... your water is little to high in your tanks.. pebbles should be damp, not floating...ppm and pH are off...pH 6.2- 6.8,for start,in your system...I didn't read what your water was...if to..125 ppm calmag.first week that's it...by my past experiences and what I'm seeing is you flood them out and burning up possible locking out....just a observation...

And the Third bean has popped !!! 100% Germination 🤗

Damn guys that is a first!... Thank You. I am now a Root Riot fan....🍻

Exactly what I found with the riots, germination became a joy to behold, and not a week of nail biting as my $100 seeds failed to pop.

You are not "barging in..." all opinions and viewpoints are welcome and appreciated.
Thanks for your help 🍻

p.s. Germination has always been an issue for me. Everyone I have gotten to the water; I have harvested. This root riot stuff seems to be the bomb.

The last pic posted says most of it..temps way to low...pH.is way to low..and ppm.are 3 times over the legal limit..haha..your air temps are ok..rh..ok.. maybe little higher..I prefer at first...and soon as put seed in put it in your tank..not in a open container for air and lights and everything else to come in contact with your fragile new roots...you do them things I promise you will make it to water..cheers.seeds and time are money..
