Looks fantastic… some great sized buds for sativa leanersThis was the hermie mom 1 month into flowering.. had to chop her due to bud rot.. I'm hoping that I could get more than a month with these girls.. but so far with my weather 1 month flowering is my max.View attachment 1301904View attachment 1301911View attachment 1301912View attachment 1301910View attachment 1301909View attachment 1301908

I've been told that you keep your tank covered. No light in and the algae does not grow. And keep a pleco or 3 in the tank.Curious to see how this goes.
I tried aquaponics at my farm with tilapia - It was a miserable failure. It seems to me like the needs of the fish and the needs of the plants are somewhat similar, but not close enough for it to be a closed system. The amount of fish you need to produce waste to feed the plants is pretty high. And then with the pool being open to the air / sun - you add nutrients and they almost before your eyes become algae. It's a balancing act for sure.
I'm following along because I hope someone figures this out - might as well be you! Good luck.
Welcome. Hope you enjoy the ride.Just found the thread. Very nice. Looks really good.
I love aquaponics. If we had the space for it...Welcome. Hope you enjoy the ride.
You can start small.. and get your feet wet.I love aquaponics. If we had the space for it...
Sounds like you have it figured out. And you are right. For AP water to be viable it needs to be ph controlled to around 6When we lived in Hawaii, a friend ran an AP farm. He used to show me his setup all the time.
My wife and I like to homestead, but we are getting too old to make everything anymore, so we are planning on building an AP soil based system into our greenhouse when we move to a bigger place. Not exactly soil, but a pH auto adjust system like soil. It will minimize a lot of upkeep.
The only thing I've figured out is that I haven't figured anything out. Just ask my wife.Sounds like you have it figured out. And you are right. For AP water to be viable it needs to be ph controlled to around 6
Then you on the right track with Aquaponics.. that's literally how everyone practicing feels like daily. The only thing I've figured out is that I haven't figured anything out. Just ask my wife.
