Picked up an Arizer Solo 2 vaporizer to try vaping over smoking. I liked the idea of the tubes and controllable temp so went with this.

Ran it 385 and 390 on dry bud. Barely any smoke as I was expecting blowing a cloud like an e-cig. Are vaporizers for weed all like this?

The big issue though is the taste. Wife likes the less throat burn, smell, and coughing but a bit disgusted about the taste. Is this because the temps used or the way the Arizer works?

Was looking at the Pax but went with the Solo2 to try. Is the Pax any different?

I don’t get much smoke either. Or steam. That was one of the big surprises when I first vaped! Huge blast of flavor! Took a little getting used to, but now it’s the favorite part of vaping for me!

We have several Paxes, a Boundless CFX and a Mighty+. They're all good. The wife favors the Boundless and I favor the Pax.

I run mine at 380 and the wife has hers at 390. We usually get good clouds. I think it helps if the bud humidity is about 62%. We also grind ours fine with our herb grinder.

Will have to try using grindings instead of flower.

Interstingly the wife packed one of the longer tubes and that hit harder with a good amount of exhaust. Tasted better I thought too but she was still grimacing LOL. Previously was using the smaller tube, less product in the chamber and shorter mouthpiece.

It may be the way it’s packed, contact with the oven, etc

Seems like the flexible one was the pax3 which was discontinued. The Paz Plus just has modes and not adjustable temps.

i love the mighty no complaint about it other than it can get a touch hot at times

We have both. The Pax Plus has four temperature settings. I prefer level three, which is 390Āŗ, IIRC. I think their goal was to make it simple and easy to carry in a pocket, and it is. I think most people find the temperature they like and leave it there.

I just bought a Boundless CFX for my wife. It looks similar to the Mighty. She likes the Boundless more than the Mighty or the Pax 3. (She lost her engraved Pax Plus that I gave her for xmas.)

The Arizer Solo 2 was the first vape I tried, so I give it kudos for getting me off combustion. But I legit couldn't tell if I was ever using it right. I think the fact that the stem is also the bowl caused blockage or something.

For less than the Arizer Solo, I bought the potv Lobo. I LOVE IT. Smaller, cuter, cheaper. I also bought a bunch of their glass mouthpieces. I love the bubbler but I've been using their WPA with my bong quite a bit recently.

Planet of the Grapes won’t ship shit to us because of the war on vape juice. Even though it’s a legal state where others aren’t. F’in stupid and they can kiss my ass.

The wife use the Solo2 with bud and works good. Small grindings don’t work well as it clogs the air holes. Will probably get a 2nd Arizer. Like the glass tubes.

Where are you located? I thought they shipped internationally?

How many times can you smoke out of these before changing the Bud? Wife does short session of 3 hits on the Solo2, usually the 1st one isn’t much vapor. Then has been reusing several times before changing.

It heats uo quick and think it cools down fast also.

Not even close, a real vape is a puffco for dabs and a volcano for flower. Those are the ones that are worth it and you can get legit CLOUDS.
The cheap shit is exactly that, cheap shit āœŒļø

there's like 10 000 different vaporizers, probably more. Conceptually they are all the same, but the construction, material, distance between stuff and stuff, coils, shit - everything! It makes one completely different from another. Like cars, I mean - family sedan and Lamborghini are both cars with the engines that have same principle action, but those are not the same

I usually don't use a full half-gram oven in one session. Sometimes, I'll have a few hits. Other times, I'll vape the whole oven load. I like that about vaporizers. How many hits varies. I suppose it mostly depends on how tightly the bud is packed into the oven. We prefer to grind ours because it vapes better. I'm sure the size of the cloud depends on the temperature of the oven, the humidity of the bud and whether it's a fresh load or not.

We have three types and they're all different. They, nevertheless, all work well. The main difference might be how the air flows. That would be hard to describe without drawing a diagram. It matters, though. The Pax Plus and the Boundless CFX that we have are quite different. We also have a Mighty + (made by the same folks who made the Volcano), but that one sits unused most of the time. I've also been thinking seriously about buying an Arizer Solo 3.

You're right. Design and build quality matter, so there's always a "buyer beware" aspect. We've never had one fail, though.

I prefer Mighty šŸ”Ø
Had a Firefly 2 before and that equipment was useless - especially packing in it
This CFX looks nice and good price. How is the flavour from it?

We like the flavor. It's my wife's vaporizer. She's more sensitive to flavor than I am, and she prefers the CFX to her Mighty+ and Pax Plus. I think it has the best air flow. It draws air through a tube from the bottom and the oven is at the top. That seems to make a difference and makes it easier to clean.

The CFX looks like a Mighty, but it's lighter. One thing we like is how it has two charger connections. One is the usual USB C type. The other supports a wall charger that makes charging a lot faster than the USB.
