Nah lol :) I'm just busting your balls. Ever see the Bob Marley tree at nine mile? OMG. The thing was ancient in 2000 when I saw it. You could and we did pick buds off of that thing from the second story breezeway. They were just hanging out there dried on the vine. We were there with a guide so it was epic to be able to do that, twist them up, and smoke in tribute. I'm not height restricted to a certain degree. But we carry those bags into darkness every evening. Still a believer in 12/12. I've done 10 and 15 gal but they are too much for my wife to handle. To restrict height on my bonsai mommas, I just trim the tap root. Slams the vertical brakes on quick.

cool. We are restricted in how many plants we can grow, but not how big. It seems each year I want to grow in bigger and bigger containers. Then, I started digging my holes with a tractor. Up to 5x5’ wide and deep now, lol.

I didn’t say it’s fucking up, but yes, if your containers held more nutrient rich soil, even your plants would grow larger. If I said something illogical let me know. Small soil source runs out of room for the roots to continue search for nutrients.
Peace
So it makes sense to me. The roots will continue to search out for water/nutes. I heard Jorge Cervantes say once that all of the feeder roots are in the top 18" of the soil. If this is true how does this impact the root system as my beds are 18" tall. Would they expand straight down into the earth or expand outwards. Instead of just watering the raised bed should water/nutes be applied around the radius of them?

That will be a giant!. What are you going to fill the hole with, existing earth with amendments, store bought super soil, compost, coco, ect.

I fill the holes with locally sourced grow soil, lots of worm casting, feather meal, steer and chicken manure, bone meal. I did not add any further nutrients except more bone meal when they started flowering. No pesticides.
She is a chocolate mint og. Just starting to be serious about flowering. Thanks.
