Vs4000 80% approx 2.5 to 3 above canopy

Today's update
I didn't water them for a week because of gnats. Watered today with the bloom fert 1/2tbs/g and !!CALMAG!! 1/2tsp/3g

Didnt see any gnats

Day 18 (60x loupe)

LSD

Blue Widow

Northern Sunset

Today's question.
Is this too close to the wall? They get pulled in during the venting because of the negative pressure. I dont know if contact is made, but seems like it would.

Mine grow right up against the wall. Maximum use of space.

It was a bottom dweller that would never about to nothing. The top buds are looking much fuller.

I didn't document them yet.

Since I defoliated them, no fans leaves have grown back and bud progress seems to have slowed. I'm starting to think I made the wrong choice.

Today

Frikking identical.
I might officially be against defoiliation during flower cycle. I think it stops progress.

All my plants give up and freeze.

Looks like the stigmas are changing color and you are getting trichomes on sugar leaves .
Growth has not stopped but is proceeding in a different direction then you thought maybe .
I think they look good .

Looks like you grow in soil? If so you will see slower different recovery - it’s not that I wouldn’t do it I just wouldn’t be quite as aggressive leaving some secondary fans ? But I’m still playin with it myself . Just an opinion

I cut every leaf that had a stem long enough to not endanger a bud site. I did not feed them until 14 hours later because I didn't have water.

The tap water is softened with a salt based product so I can't use it for the plants, so I've read. So I use Poland spring. Internet said it has a ph of 7. I said good enough ..

It's been 5 days and I just fed them again. Super dry. My bad. There was a conflict of scheduling. Whatever. A little drought never hurt anyone.

What is considered a secondary leaf?

Typically you want to defoliate in your first week or two of flower. Your trellis gives you a handy guide; anything above it in the light, save. Anything below it that is not in the light can go. Some even go as far as to prune lower nodes from branches to encourage growth to the colas.

Every grow is a learning process, you will take what you gained from this and apply it to your next grow. Keep building your skillset and everything else will fall into place. Good luck!
