Just transplanted the clone of the clone into cocoloco.

I think the big one is sick. Shes not looking so good since the pruning. The clone looks healthy but its not flowering like it should, even though it rooted in the same room. In seed making stage now.

So yesterday I was looking at buds - immature larf I cut off a couple weeks ago. Anyone who saw it would agree it's garbage - not many trichs and no smell. For shits and giggles I decided to smoke a bowl. I expected it would do nothing and was totally shocked by how powerful it was. How's it possible for immature garbage to get you higher than top shelf, covered in frost, mature buds?
I've known for decades that Colombian leaf makes super potent oil while indica leaves make garbage. I believe there is something besides delta 9 thc at work. IDK if its thcv, thcp, or something else- but I love it. Can't wait to try the mature buds in a couple months.

Agree with your assessment that it's not just thc. My bet is you got a lot of cbg in there, though idk if that is responsible...

You may have seen i have been playing with thin layer chromatography....at home kits are fairly reasonable now. Might be interesting.

I use a kit from here btw. https://www.cannalyticssupply.com/

I think @Moe.Red has tips for cheaper sourcing. I bought additional plates off amazon on his recommendation. He knows his stuff with this and is incredibly generous with his knowledge.

I'm not sure what it is. What I can tell you is this Colombian is exactly like the last one I grew in 88. I don't think the genetics have evolved much at all. If it tranfers to the hybrid offspring like it did in 88- I'm on to something good.

Landrace Columbian was essentially all I grew, back in the 70s, with some Hawaiian thrown in now and then. I usually had to harvest in mid-November, in Connecticut, so I doubt I ever grew it to its full potential.

The last one I grew was in a terrible environment with 1000w mh. It made very potent loose buds that never really finished like it should. I know it never reached her potential-but the hybrid seeds did.

It will be interesting to see if the cousins are the same or different. Will they each favor the mother? Or will they all be about the same. I can't wait to find out.
