I MOST DEF WOULDN'T! Water around the outside a little to spread the roots horizontally but not the rockwool... Rw is a bitch.. will cause root rot.. The Rw was just to Germinate. .. It's done it's job...

@EventHorizan , you think Autoflower these days stands up to potency/flavor of photos? I feel like it depends heavily on strain/breeder, but what have you experienced?

i meant it will cause stem rot because it holds moisture more than most medians that you are used to, well all as far as I know. Its the worst. I changed over to rapid rooters. Soaked them in ro for 30 mins, put the seeds in and i never watered it again,,, roots were growing out of it 2 days! but no you actually want it dry up around the stem,,,, The roots can handle the uptake duties. But still i would water just a lil every day in a circle around the stem starting with a circle the size of a beer can and GRADUALLY getting bigger every day. You will guide the roots out to the sides then they will also spider off down in the bucket, but even more important, they will also have a dry zone up top on the sides for oxygen uptake... wet and a dry zone. Thats why I went with dwc with top feed... top feed is really more for veg but i will show you a pic of lateral roots...

I don't have enough knowledge to comment. Here is the thing,, your gonna grow a plant, and its gonna be fucking beautiful brother,, and yoour gonna be so happy that you have lucked out on the miss Universe of weed,,, and even more, your excited because you can now clone this bad baby and enjoy it for the rest of your fucking life,,, ppl will be talking about this shit for decades...

Oh wait its a auto,,, Scratch all that........
once that pheno is gone,, its gone homie...

Also for 2 weeks more you can prob double your yield. except autos don't let you decide that, They decide it for you.. just my opinion, As for potency, give me a few days and I tell you what I think of the potency of mine...

great info man! I'm gonna start doin that for sure. Look at the stem on that joker! talk about a healthy girl!! I was running a top feed system last round and let the rock wool dry out on the regular. for some reason I just didn't connect the two, lol. I think I may have gotten a good pheno on the cali haze for sure. pretty stunned how much production is coming in such a short span.

I'm going into week 3 now. On the fence of flushing or just balancing things out. Do you run benny's or H2O2 or?

Sry. .. I couldn't get back to respond. I cut one of the girls down and it took me almost 3 hrs to trim her and get everything cleaned up... I only run flora nova bloom and hydrogaurd. Kool bloom during transition. She does have a mean ass stem on her... thing is I about killed her twice because of that dam rockwool.

wow.. I saw growpotcheaply do that too. I had some floranova grow so went ahead and used this for veg. they seem to be doing pretty well though. long as I catch transition/bloom ok I'll be straight. Always worry about nitrogen toxicity though. Anywho.. litle update :). lemme know if they're keeping par with a typical auto grow. Thanks!

Biggest is the Cali Haze. The Gorilla Glue has some SERIOUS roots! and the little girl is a DNA Genetics 60 Day wonder :). Just popped yesterday

Also.. Just thought about this.. when I first added the HG and nutes, I could see/slightly smell some things going on that aren't good. I feel like the HG takes a week or so to really get the colony going and fight off everything. You have similar findings? Had the same thing happen in a top feed system I ran too

nope I have never seen slimy water or smelly water. Once had foamy water ,,, i think due to the fact that i added to much hg and then compounded it by letting my water get a lil low....

i met a dude through here that NEVER changes his res. has his nutes on point and lets the bucket run dry. I think the point of HG Is to let the colony grow and not flush them out. Now my water smells awesome, looking awesome. Even when I ran a top feed, I never flushed my system after the HG took care of the tremendous root rot issue I had. I mean.. SERIOUSLY bad... turned 5/8 plants hermie

Sounds bad!
I do plan to go longer between changes too.. Maybe one every month in veg, and 1 every 2 weeks in flower...

Being the location i have to keep my plants, I'm trying to find any way possible to not go through the whole flush process haha. That and I have to buy all my water @ $1 5 gallons. It's not much but it does add up if Im constantly changing ya know. Not to mention my plants are upstairs and lugging water just sucks

100 on that. I face the EXACT same situation. So I am all about going longer. There just wasn't no way in hell i was losing my first harvest to being lazy... Now I will experiment. And using a top off reservoir with a float valve,,,ppm slightly higher and ph'd in the opposite direction slightly, should get me that 2 weeks HANDS FREE that i am striving for..
