You're a OG all day Wish. I can vouch for the cns17 wothout a doubt. So happy frog is like promix then?my recommendation would be to get a good base nutrient, flush the medium with RO until you get the ppm as close to zero, then starting fresh with a 1.0 ec base nutrient ph to between 5.8...preferably on the lower end
Happy frog is literally peat and perlite...with nothing else...if it does it is so trace that it pretty much is non existent ........I also wouldn't be able to use FF nutrients, even if free......for around $25.00 you can get GH Micro/Bloom or a gallon of CNS17 etc....and that would work great.....or a dry nute....hell Maxibloom works great from beginning to end
you can use Maxibloom @ 5g per gal which gets you around 1.4ec... and do a feed/feed/tea.....for the tea just use the Big Bloom...which is a concentrated tea which works great......
this would be my recommendation

Keep in mind you're gonna over worry/think it out right now. Good flush, good feed and you'll get them turned around fairly quick. That medium will move a little faster than soil. I honestly think autos can be trickier than photos. Mine was treated pretty bad and it still kicked out some good smoke. You got it bro, hows mom doing?Thank you @Wisher619 For the help and knowledge. I am going to order the Maxibloom if the local nursery doesn't have it tomorrow. These being Auto's with only 5-6 weeks left at best I am not sure how much anything will help them.
In my limited knowledge and from reading and looking at pictures is where I came up with Ca def. From what I read it could have been caused by my water going out and me using distilled water.
Thank you @incogneato for your help. With everything going on here right now it hurts my head trying to think at all.
How does flushing help when I have not enough of something (calcium)? I ordered the Maxibloom today off Ebay as we have nothing here. If I am lucky It will be here by Friday. Until then who knows. I guess I will go thru the nutes looking for the highest in calcium and use a bigger dose of it at watering. I also have the dolomite I will have to read the label and see what to do with it.Keep in mind you're gonna over worry/think it out right now. Because the acidity could be caysing lockout. So its not lacking ca, the mix is locking it out. When you hit a lockout/deficiency its like a reset to flush and then send clean feed in. Hope they make some progress with her bro. It can be tough sometimes. How does flushing help when I have not enough of something (calcium)? Mom is out of the hospital but not because they figured anything out but of all things the hospital needed beds due to this flu outbreak. Thanks for asking, I think dad has turned the corner with the flu.
Hope you all are doing well. Hey @jipp eat something :)
my suggestion....just water as usualThis is what I have done. among the FoxFarms gear was a bottle of Flowers kiss Foliar spray and it contained 1% calcium so I sprayed everything and turned out the lights for an hour while they soaked it up and dried off. I started some ewc tea bubbling.
Got an email saying the Maxibloom would ship priority on Tuesday but I will need to water and flush before it gets here. I do have a product here named SledgeHammer of course by FoxFarms (almost feels like a bad word lol) It is made to add 2 tsp per gallon for flushing.
The were watered 2 days ago so If I don't wait until they need water don't I run the risk of Overwatering if I flush now? Most of the plants are still looking good?
Sorry if I am being dense or something I am just trying to make sure we are on the same page before I misunderstand and screw this up
Lol, just deleted a paragraph. To be clear, he needs to ph in that mix right? I ran a very similar mix on my first run. Its not soil, why would they call it that? Peat, humus and a few additives. That could even be the issue, not ph ing. Its also recommended to water, then nute with this mix, like str8 mentioned. Jackhammer is really just yucca extract, a wetting agent. And the flowers kiss is micro nutrients.my suggestion....just water as usual
when your maxibloom gets here
just use at the next watering
when you feed and water from now on
you want to feed until you get runoff....dont let the plants sit in it....get rid of the runoff
Then you allow the media to dry
nice and light....but not to plant wilting...just before wilt
then you soak the media (soil) again
Whats up bud?being in the jar just ain't the same like this
As long as its nothing serious thenMostly same demons + winter and the inevitable fact all things die
What do you have in the tea?@incogneato Ok watering is in the morning. So should I flush? and then pour in the tea? Will dolomite lime watered in help me with the calcium def if that is what it is? If not I need to ditch the tea tonight and start new batch. Tomorrow makes 36 days the start or week 6 and I plan to switch to HPS
I think you're having lockout issues, not deficiency. Lockout is when the nutrients are present but cant be uptaken by the plant. When will you have nutes?EWC (Big Bloom) Wisher said "big bloom is pretty good and can be used pretty heavy" so I mixed it as FF directed 1/2 strength microbe brew 4 gallons water and 4 TSP or TBSP of lime (1 per gallon as bag read)
Reading back into my first grow a plant did this and a little epsom helped?
I think Friday if the weather allows right now tracking # says label created not yet in system :(I think you're having lockout issues, not deficiency. Lockout is when the nutrients are present but cant be uptaken by the plant. When will you have nutes?
I think thats exactly whats causing the lockout. Happy frog is acidic out of the bag. 4.8ish ph. And you didnt ph either correct? If it was me i would give them the tea, that should perc them up a bit. When your nutes come in it should be time to water again. Flush them, then feed with a ph'd batch of nutes. Happy frog is a soiless mix. I did the exact same thing my first grow and the same happened.I think Friday if the weather allows right now tracking # says label created not yet in system :(
I understand what lock out is but if I understood @Wisher619 said the happy frog really has no nutes in it and if I have added only the 1/4 strength twice would lockout make since?
What about ph being off does that cause lockout?
