Day #17 of Flower

I’ve been bending, tucking and weaving these four plants just about every other day. The stretch has been hard to keep under control. I’ve got a limited amount of height, maybe another foot of vertical space until my light can’t go higher, so I’m trying not to raise the light at all until they’re through the late/peak stretch. But that means I gotta stay on top of it. Any branches shooting up get tucked, but the stems are getting really stiff, so can’t man handle them quite like I was last week. Thinking they’ll slow down after I’m into week #3.

The light I’m using is an HLG Scorpion RSpec FR and I currently have it set at 1100 umol with additional UV running 10 of the 12 hrs. I am also using two of the “xhale XL Co2 bags” so I have a “little” supplemental Co2 which is allowing me to push my light a bit higher than I could without the extra Co2. So far no signs of light stress so might push it to 1150 tomorrow and see how they do.

Sweet looking grow! You are going to be very happy with the final outcome! 👊 😄💨

Day #19 of Flower

I’m using coco, which tends to hold onto nutrients, and in early flower I’m keeping my reservoir at 1000 ppm and the ppm in my runoff should never get over 1300 for this phase, early flower, but I almost hit 1500 today. Now that was before my last run-off of the day, which brought it down to 1350, but that is still too high for me right now in early flower. I’d like to be at 1200 or lower in my run-off when they go to sleep. It can get to 1350 during the day with lighter watering but before bed the runoff better be 1200 or lower or I’m gonna hit it with a shot of 1000 ppm fluid until it gets there. Which is what I did tonight. And it was time to mix another ten gallons of solution in the reservoir so I dropped the PPM to 930 for now to see if that helps keep the run off down a little lower but still maintain a good PPM in the root zone. As I move into the mid/late flower stage I’ll bump the ppm to somewhere around 1200-1500 in the reservoir depending on what I’m seeing in the runoff. The plants should be feeding more at that time and if I’m feeding with 1200 I should see a slight drop in that number in the run-off. Or that’s my hypothesis. I’m a newbie.

Day 26 of flower. They are frosting up nicely. Already getting nice and sticky. Was hoping the stretch was done but she’s still climbing higher. All the branches are stiff as heck. No more bending and tucking. From this day forward only gently tying them down to keep that canopy flat.

Awesome scrogging! Did you made the rack yourself? I put up the net myself for the first time today and used the black elastic net. Looks like yours is white plastic. I wish I went with the plastic also, the elastic ones seems to thic and gave way to the plants. PSA: if you want to scrog, do it like above lol

Thank you. I only did a small part of the rack myself. And I am using the stretchy string type trellis with 6x6 grid in a 90x100 whole pattern up top. I added the pvc pipe all the way around the top to stiffen up the side polls and keep the whole thing square, and added wire all the way around that I weave in and out of the netting to stretch it tight and to also keep the side polls from getting sucked in when I tighten down the wire for the netting. This is the trick for getting it tight if that’s what you’re going for. The wire woven in and out of the netting. Forget the name of the system I’m using for the rack and grow table but if younger interested I can find it and PM you.

Looks great. I got three gmo punch going on day 20 of flower right now and they look a lot like these ladies haha

Maybe not AS nice. But you can tell haha

You said you were a newbie... I'm calling bullshit! 😁 Maybe you are, and doing it in Coco with plants like these as a noob is, well, sexy. Coco can be blue-eyed murder in a size 5 dress at times.

If I were not going back to soil (and hand watering - fuck me, why am I this way?🫣), this would make me want to explore a drip system instead of ebb and flow like I've been doing.

What's your ppm/EC at the moment? Which coco are you using?

Using Floraflex Coco.

Light Level @ 1125 umol at about 12” with added Co2. Just a little supplement through Co2 bags. Backing off to 1100 tomorrow. Can’t raise the light. UV bar at 10” six hours a day.

Currently at 1250 ppm in the reservoir, run off numbers checked closely, daily, adjustments made as needed, day 31, using the following:

This varies by week of flower.

Advanced Nutrients Coco Line: (@wk5)

Bloom A
Bloom B
Big Bud

Tasty Terpenes

Rhino Skin
Bud Factor X

Started in 3 gallon FlroaFlex quick fill bags when I pulled them out of my ez cloner and then transferred from veg area to my flower room’s 5 gallon round floraflex matrix setup. Made a mistake there. The square three gallon quick fill bags do not fit into the round five gallon floraflex pots like I thought they would and then I’d just add extra coco. The five gallon round pots taper as they go down and the square ez fill do not. So ended up having to shave lots of coco and roots to get them to the right shape to fit in the round pots. Ot was messy and had to cut off lots of the roots in the sides to get it to fit. They didn’t seem to care though. It was just a pain in the ass and messy. This time I have my clones in the veg area in one “1” gallon, square, quick fill pots. These will easily transfer to the five gallon round pots with some extra coco when ready.

Fantastic! Very nice setup and caretaking... Love to see it.

So, GMO Cookies can take a beating 😀 - funny how we spend so much time on crazy details and then we try to pound square pegs into round holes and get humbled. I'm looking forward to more pics and updates!
