This beast business has got me very amped up in anticipation of the day I flipp her to flower.

Everyday my mind says flip that B!
But everyday the little voice in the back says,

"everyday you wait your potential yield increases".

"Everyday your root mass grows bigger. More roots= more fruits"

If anything this is a test of patience.
Seeing this beast explode everyday with new growth makes me quite happy.

Vegging this monster is surprisingly faster than expected. But there may be up to an extra month of veg time. I'm guessing between 2-3 months total. Today is day 50 of veg. the end of the 3rd month is 34 more days away.

Today's update on The Beast.

She has filled in overnight it seems.
The core is lush and full of new shoots.
The plant is still table flat.
It is still under 4" tall (above the pot top).

I think my goal is to flip around 10"-15" tall.
From here on out it should be just waiting on vertical growth Along with creating good spacing between the tops as they grow in. A little defoliation here and there to keep lower shoots getting some light.

Today's update in the micro tent.

#3 is looking very green and healthy.
Today I fed her with a good nutrient drench when I also fed The Beast (#2).

It's crazy to think how much this plant was held back by the 3 gallon pot when compared to the Beast. Which was started at the same time.


Today I set the micro tents photoperiod to 16/9. I want to give the plant some good sleep. It's been on a 24hr light cycle for its whole life now. This rest will prepare it for flower. It will allow the plant to slowly approach 12/12. Rather than straight from 24/0 lol.

But either way I'm getting her ready for her trip into flower. It will probably grow some within the "rest period" I'm counting on that.


What I am unsure of is what kind of stretch this lady is prepared to put on.

If it doesn't stretch at all I could veg much more.

If it doubles in height I'd be right in the perfect zone.

If it triples in height I will be right below/touching the T5 bulbs kind of close for how hot they get.

Either way this micro needs to start flowering soon so I can have a nice staggered harvest.

I need to use this first round in the micro tent to guage what it is capable of. Then I can adjust my future grows inside of it to maximize the space.

So far so good.

Your patience has been tested and passed already. You pulled the last harvest later than you wanted and got your reward for it lol. I'm sure that's helping you to stay patient here with the BEAST. She looks awesome, green, lush, beasty!

That is insane! Very nice job on training her. Love your thread. I think you've inspired me to try out mainlining on my next grow.

She is pretty crazy.
Each grow I kept telling myself more tops.
So this time I went a little overboard haha!

Each day I can see the foliage vigorously growing.
I thought if I had many tops it would slow this plant down. But alas everyday the roots fill the 10 gallon pot more and more. These @thunderfudge genetics are just too resilient. I'm glad I have a clone of this one.
If it always grows like this I'll be happy.

I'm loving it!

For example these seedlings I'm going to attempt to train into single cola plants in the corners of the tent. New to me but hey why not?

I'm doing a single cola grow atm more out of curiosity than anything. I've just never attempted it before and I wonder how hard it will be to do and what the results will be versus topping or training.

I'm running 3 bag seed and La Plata Labs Alien Bubba Berry, Imperial Genetics Kurple Guerilla and some blueberry fems. Kind of all over the place for a single cola grow but I'll get an idea at least.

I set my timer for 12/12 and the first dark period will be during the day tomorrow. So you could technically say the flip won't occur until tomorrow.

I was just thinking...
I already know what a gradual flip looks like.
So I figured I would like to see how she reacts to an instant flip from 24/0. After feeling the heat distance from the t5 with my hand. I figured she's at a good height to flower.

If I don't yield big that's ok. This new growing space will have its own learning curve. I'll get to see it in action soon.

It's not quite bagseed since he took the pollen of 1 male and applied to 8+ females. The resulting seeds lost their organization.

I have a list of the potential crosses in this journal pages back somewhere.

But they should be fire on a level I'm not used to :)

Thats what I'm counting on!

That's half the reason I selected the bushier phenotype of the 2 ladies and decided to bush her out. I figure if it's good I want to make sure I yield a lot of it.
