Bag Seed Hunting & The Lst Adventure

And I was thinking cull it. Be very interesting how it turns out. Some of the best smoke Ive had at times was the runt of the litter. If it dont kill em it makes em stronger.

And I was thinking cull it. Be very interesting how it turns out.

This mutant may be a sight to behold later. I'm just gonna let it ride. It is living and getting greener everyday. It will survive.

I forgot to take pics b4 lights on last night. I will try and take some later tonight. Sorry guys

I made sure to snag some pics tonight yesterday represents end of week 6 start of week 7.

I'm gonna have to start the plain water flushing.

I like it! Can't wait to hear what you think of it after harvest.

It's a clone from last round.
It had an earthy sour diesel style funk to it. With a fruity smell when touched. It smelled gross when live, but after curing smell and taste great.

Potency was up there.
Visually compared to the bagseed had more frost and crystals yet yielded the least.

Nice smoke but I need to make room for the new fire.

Everything you just said is what this bag seed is... I thought it looked simular too. That's why I asked..

Last run I had a mutated runt. Stayed under 6 inches until flip, then took off and packed on an exceptional amount of weight. Looked like just grew solid buds from the ground up.
The runt has been cocked °90 at the top. It took me a few days of arranging it in different directions and places to find the sweet spot. It is still crooked but I believe it may correct itself once allowed to grow out.

First leaves are a little deformed.
But as long as it keeps pulling through it will get some some fresh good leaves within a node or 2.

It is still very tiny.

I thought mine was dead...but it stayed green and while most of the tap root decided to go sideways, it ever so gently had a few root hairs going into the soil holding on. Good luck on yours, keep fighting the good fight standing up for those little plants that couldn't stand up for themselves.

I had them out of the tent for a light defoliation and readjustment of pipe cola's/pipe cleaners.

So I figured I'd take some shots for you all.

Here are the 2 big bagseed #1 clones.
One is 8 cola's. The other is 4 cola's with lots of little "sattelites". Both seem to have similar amount of bud.

Here is the sister, big bagseed #2 clone.
It's cola's grew in uneven just like last round. While big bagseed # 1 has nice even height cola's.

And here is the SDXQ #2 clone.

I took this picture for another thread but though it was a good visual. Thought I'd post it here.

It's a picture of the mixed spectrum bulbs in my t5 fixture located in my lower chamber.

From the red one it goes

3000k
4100k
5000k
6500k
3000k
4100k
5000k
6500k

T5 flicker in pictures.
So although some look dull in the pic I assure you they are all very bright and brand new still.

One day I want a 2×4 tent with (2) 8 bulb t5's mixed spectrum. I bet that it would do well.

Damn I ordered 3 cu ft of roots organic potting soil yesterday and it's here today. Lucky me the origin point is from pa.

https://www.hydrofarm.com/p/HG20PHD

But interesting news is how I bought a pot big enough to hold almost all of it while still fitting inside the 2x2 tent.

It is "21.4 wide. The tent poles are "22 apart. I have been looking for the largest pot I could conceivably fit in my tent.

This is because I want larger fruits during flower. I've grown (4) with 2 gal pots or 8 gallons total.

My next round will be (4) 3 gal pots putting me at 12 gallons of soil total.

The round after that going to 20 gallons should ideally double my root Mass and yield.

I noticed I can remove the ceiling of the lower chamber effectively claim 1ft of vertical space for the upper chamber. I have to remove the t5 fixture too.

The 20 gal pot height is "17 tall so by recovering "12 of vertical height from lower chamber space. The pot only extends into the upper chamber "5. Which is already much lower than the top of my current 2 or 3 gal tops. Leaving me much more extra room for training vegetation.

My plan is this.
Finish current round of flower.

Finish training all 4 seedlings.

Take 1 clone of each seedling during mainlining.

Once flowered and sexed I will choose the best plant and clone. I will use/train that cut to fill out the 20 gal pot.

I'm just wondering will the bigger roots translate to bigger fruits in my little space guys? I'm looking for some fat buds. My 2 gal pots always make little buds.

In theory it should. Bigger plants make for bigger buds and yields and you need the root mass to support it, but it's sort of like a yield curve...doubling the container doesn't mean double the output.

Edit: I would take clones of everything and then flower to finish and then pick what to keep. It can be hard to judge a plant until you try the end result. I could be misunderstanding your plan, sounded like you were going to pick winners around the flip rather than the finish.

The clones would be taken at 1st topping. I will let them grow tall enough so that the clones have a few nodes. I'll strip a node or 2 for the stem to reach the water in the cloner.

So once these 4 clones are established the mothers should show sex. I will then remove the males from both chambers.

Out of those ladies I would choose which one I want for the big bush.
I'd have to see yield, potency, smell, etc first before making a decision.

I'm interested to see how it helps your yield. What's the dimension of your tent again?

My tent dimensions are as follows.
I measure from tent pole to tent pole since they occupy space.

From wall to wall it's listed as
2x2x6h total
The lower chamber is 2x2x1H
the upper is 2x2x5H
The tent poles make both chambers really "22×"22.

I changed my order today. I'm debating on sizes.

As of now I am thinking two 15 gallon pots 19"W × "15H.

I'd get a 15 gallon pot and trim it to fit the lower chamber. It will be "19 wide but "4-"5 tall. It would fit through the opening. That way I can try flowering in the lower chamber someday. Making a wide low bush. The lower chamber being only 4cu ft has 3000+lumens per sq ft. That's more than the flowering chamber and I've been wondering what it's capable of being t5's.

I'd use the other 15g pot and trim it from "15 tall to a more reasonable height (my 3 gallons are "9 tall). The goal is 1 super wide pot that can accommodate more soil with a similar relative height as I have now of the pot tops.

If I plan this right I can do it without breaking the chambers down. Which would be wonderful.

The other reason why I was against using the 20 gal was because the only drip tray I could get to fit the "22×"22 dimension of available floors pace was too small on the inside dimensions.

Here is the "22×"22 outside dimension drip tray I found. I've been searching for the perfect size forever it seems now. I'm gonna get 1 for my upper chamber.

Got them ordered.

I got (2) 15 gallon plastic pots I'm going to trim to fit each chamber.

I got a 10 Gallon pot incase I discover my 15 gallon is too heavy for the tent to hold lol. I can also use it for outdoor gardening this upcoming year.

I also ordered that "22×"22 drip tray. It should fit perfectly!
